Rock-Paper-Scissors / Tag (1–10)
Pyramid Rock-Paper-Scissors

A game where teams compete against each other, featuring simple rules that use rock-paper-scissors, is a key highlight.
Each team splits into offense and defense, with the defenders waiting in a formation like a pyramid, where the rows closer to the attackers have more players.
When the start signal is given, the attacking team charges into the opponent’s territory and challenges defenders to rock-paper-scissors in sequence, aiming to defeat the King at the far end.
Offense and defense alternate turns, and the goal is to see how many players can defeat the King within the time limit.

This is a tag game for pairs.
The rules are very simple: after playing rock-paper-scissors, the winner chases the loser! The loser should run away immediately.
Set a line in advance that counts as a win if the runner makes it there.
Because you have to instantly judge whether you won or lost and act right away, it seems simple but actually makes you use your head more than you’d expect.
It’s also a game that builds concentration.
Even with a large group, you can have everyone start side by side and play simultaneously in a large space like a gym.
Balance Rock-Paper-Scissors SurvivalNEW!

In this game, each participant uses one sheet of newspaper.
First, as preparation, each participant spreads out their newspaper and stands on it.
When the game starts, you play rock-paper-scissors with your designated opponent.
If you win, you wait as you are; if you lose, fold your newspaper once.
Repeat this process: the player who can no longer stand on their own territory—the newspaper—loses.
If you keep losing, the area you can stand on gets smaller, so you’ll end up standing on one foot or on tiptoe.
It seems like balance will be the key to pulling off a comeback victory.
Territory-JankenNEW!

There are many ways to play territory-taking with rock-paper-scissors.
In the method shown in the video, only the winner gets to advance, but there are other versions where if you lose, you go back to the end of the line and start over; you run along lines and play rock-paper-scissors when you bump into an opponent; or you designate a “king,” and players who lost and are sitting down can be revived if the king touches them.
It’s nice that it adds physical movement to regular rock-paper-scissors.
Be sure to try out various rock-paper-scissors territory games!
Spiral Rock-Paper-Scissors

Introducing Uzumaki Rock-Paper-Scissors, a team-based game you can enjoy with friends at events.
It’s easy and fun as long as you have a large open space and a bunch of friends.
The rules are simple, so both kids and adults can join in and get excited together.
Draw a big spiral on the ground and split into two teams: one starting at the center and one at the outer edge.
When the game starts, both teams run along the spiral line.
When two players meet, they play rock-paper-scissors.
The loser steps out and the next runner from that team takes their place.
Repeat this process.
If you make it into the opponent’s territory, you win.
There are no complicated rules, so give it a try with everyone!
Rock-paper-scissors tail tag

A game that combines two popular activities! Let me introduce Rock-Paper-Scissors Tail Tag.
First, set up a home base and move about 20 meters away to play rock-paper-scissors.
The winner runs toward their home base, and the loser tries to grab the winner’s tail before they reach it.
Start with one-on-one matches to get used to it, then switch to team battles once everyone’s comfortable—it’ll really amp up the excitement.
Another fun aspect is coming up with strategies with your friends and thinking about how to win as you play.
Give it a try!
Cops and Robbers (also known as Keidoro/Dorokei)

Cops and Robbers goes by various names depending on the region.
The name “Keidoro” is short for “keisatsu” (police) and “dorobō” (thief).
Players split into a police team and a thief team; the thieves run away.
When the police catch a thief, they take them to a predetermined place called the jail.
Even if a thief is caught, they can escape again if a teammate comes and tags them.
The game ends when all members of the thief team have been caught.
King Dodgeball

Let’s try playing a slightly different kind of dodgeball called ‘King Dodge.’ The only difference from regular dodgeball is that there’s a king.
Each team chooses one king, and the team that gets the opposing king out wins.
Everyone except the king protects their king from getting hit by the ball.
It’s a game where you can make a dramatic comeback even when the situation looks bad.
Cooperative Rock-Paper-Scissors Activity

Enjoy it in your spare moments or during breaks! Here are some cooperative rock-paper-scissors activities.
When you hear “rock-paper-scissors,” you probably think of a game that decides winners and losers.
This time, let’s try a unique twist with cooperative rock-paper-scissors.
Ideas include “Rock-Paper-Scissors Pyramid” and “Queen of Scissors.” Both are team-based games for children, so they’re great for strengthening relationships within a class or group.
Rock-Paper-Scissors / Tag (11–20)
King Tail Tag

Here’s a team-bonding “King’s Tail Tag” game.
Everyone who’s running away faces inward, holds hands, and forms a circle.
One representative inside the circle wears a tail.
The chaser wins if they can grab the representative’s tail! Working together with the teammates in the circle, the representative keeps spinning and moving to prevent the tail from being taken.
Watch the chaser’s movements and rotate right or left to avoid being caught.
Team unity and the chaser’s split-second decisions determine the outcome of the game!
