An emotional Korean song. A gently moving, sensitive masterpiece.

This is a playlist introducing emotional Korean tracks.

From K-R&B and love songs to tunes with a languid, melancholic mood, we’ve picked a wide variety.

That laid-back, mellow atmosphere—the kind that slowly seeps in—feels even more emotional at night, doesn’t it?

Perfect for use on TikTok, too.

The stylish sound alone is emotional, but if you really take your time to read the lyrics while you listen, you might find yourself even more immersed in the world they create.

With many tracks featuring lyrics that feel like they’re right there with you, these emo numbers can be a comfort when you’re heartbroken or when you just want to relax.

All My PoetryClose Your Eyes

CLOSE YOUR EYES, a seven-member multinational boy group formed through JTBC’s audition program PROJECT 7, made their debut in April 2025 with their 1st mini album ETERNALT.

Built on a 2000s retro-style R&B sound, their music shines with lyrical melodies and delicate sensibilities that weave together the awkward feelings of first love.

Just six days after debuting, they captured 1st place on the music show THE SHOW, rapidly drawing widespread attention.

This is a must-listen track for anyone who wants to connect with hidden heartache and sweet fluttering emotions.

CASE 143Stray Kids

Stray Kids – CASE 143 -Japanese ver.- / THE FIRST TAKE
CASE 143Stray Kids

Stray Kids is a boys’ group that’s rapidly gaining momentum.

In Japan, they’re affectionately known as “Sukizu” and loved by many female fans.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend for its singability and crowd-pleasing energy is CASE 143, released in 2022.

While the overall vocal range is quite wide—low G# to high F#—the low notes appear in the rap parts and the high notes only show up in the final chorus, so the basic range isn’t that broad.

The high notes also come after clear rests, so you can prepare and hit them comfortably.

If you’re still unsure, you can sing the high parts an octave lower.

Black RoseASH ISLAND

When something sad happens, don’t you ever wish it were just a dream? That’s the kind of bittersweet heartbreak captured in “Black Rose.” It’s one of the double title tracks from Ash Island’s 2023 mini-album “More ROSES,” and his emotional rap really hits you.

The love that burned out is likened to a black rose, and if you listen after learning the flower’s meanings, you might find yourself drawn in even deeper.

The Day After YouCHEEZE

Cheeze, who has worked on numerous Korean drama OSTs including It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, is a female artist who began as part of a band and now performs as a singer-songwriter.

Her 2023 release The Day After You is a song that portrays facing the reality of a loved one disappearing from right before your eyes.

Opening with warm guitar arpeggios, it unfolds at a relaxed, medium tempo.

Her clear, translucent vocals convey raw emotion, making it a heartbreak song that truly resonates.

The Child of Beginnings (Hajimari no Ko) — Starting With YouMAKTUB

A standout track released by singer-songwriter Maktub in January 2025.

It features a melody line reminiscent of J-pop band sounds and captivating lyrics that sing of deep love.

Notably, it romanticizes philosophical themes such as the meaning of existence and the passage of time.

True to Maktub—nicknamed a “master of sound”—the song resonates deeply with listeners.

Since debuting in 2011, this accomplished artist has produced numerous hits, and this new, more adventurous work is sure to touch many hearts as well.

It’s a perfect song for when you want to take a new step forward or feel the bond with someone important.
