Lovely K-pop

An emotional Korean song. A gently moving, sensitive masterpiece.

This is a playlist introducing emotional Korean tracks.

From K-R&B and love songs to tunes with a languid, melancholic mood, we’ve picked a wide variety.

That laid-back, mellow atmosphere—the kind that slowly seeps in—feels even more emotional at night, doesn’t it?

Perfect for use on TikTok, too.

The stylish sound alone is emotional, but if you really take your time to read the lyrics while you listen, you might find yourself even more immersed in the world they create.

With many tracks featuring lyrics that feel like they’re right there with you, these emo numbers can be a comfort when you’re heartbroken or when you just want to relax.

A mysterious love song that travels through the world of dreams.

It’s included on THIS MAN, the debut single album released in June 2024 by the SEVENTEEN unit formed by Jeonghan and Wonwoo.

Set to a mid-tempo groove, it unfolds a dark and sexy atmosphere.

Park Juwon’s guitar further enhances the song’s allure.

A track you’ll want to listen to alone at night—one that stirs a grown-up yearning for love.

Recommended not only for SEVENTEEN fans but also for anyone who enjoys smooth, moody K-pop.

A cute number released in May 2024 by NewJeans, a popular Korean girl group.

It’s also featured in a Japanese shampoo commercial.

The lyrics, which vividly capture the frustration and sweet-and-sour feeling of being in love with bubblegum-like imagery, are especially striking.

Its irresistibly catchy melody will have you humming along.

Brimming with a poppy, happy vibe, this track is perfect for anyone who wants to brighten up their day.

With a heart-fluttering sound that recalls the excitement of a budding romance, it’s sure to leave you feeling dreamy.

Still With You정국 (Jung Kook)

BTS is a seven-member boy group that enjoys high popularity in Japan.

Among its members, Jungkook—who has a particularly large fanbase—released the solo song “Still With You,” a beautiful ballad whose poignant lyrics—“I want to walk this path with you; please call my name just once more”—touch the heart.

His richly expressive vocals, reminiscent in some ways of Japanese kayōkyoku, pair perfectly with the nostalgic guitar sound to create a very comforting feeling.

Deja VuTOMORROW X TOGETHER

A gem of a track released from TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s April 2024 mini-album, “minisode 3: TOMORROW.” Singing of nostalgia for past promises and dreams, this song captures the chaos of youth and the longing for lost bonds, expressed through a pop sound tinged with rage and emo rock.

The music video portrays the members’ intense performance with a cinematic flair.

It’s a must-listen for anyone who wants to revisit their youth.

Best enjoyed alone at night—let the poignant lyrics and music wash over you as you reflect on days gone by.

LOVE COUNTDOWN (feat. Wonstein)NAYEON

It’s a love song I want you to listen to when there’s someone you really like but you’re not officially together yet.

This track, included on TWICE ace Nayeon’s solo debut album “IM NAYEON,” has a very emotional vibe thanks to her beautiful vocals and the melodic chorus.

It portrays the psychology of a woman who wants him to be more forward and a man who can’t quite take the first step, so if you’re in that kind of situation, it’ll feel especially relatable.

It captures that fluttery excitement of mutual interest that hasn’t been clearly defined yet.

CASE 143Stray Kids

Stray Kids – CASE 143 -Japanese ver.- / THE FIRST TAKE
CASE 143Stray Kids

Stray Kids is a boys’ group that’s rapidly gaining momentum.

In Japan, they’re affectionately known as “Sukizu” and loved by many female fans.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend for its singability and crowd-pleasing energy is CASE 143, released in 2022.

While the overall vocal range is quite wide—low G# to high F#—the low notes appear in the rap parts and the high notes only show up in the final chorus, so the basic range isn’t that broad.

The high notes also come after clear rests, so you can prepare and hit them comfortably.

If you’re still unsure, you can sing the high parts an octave lower.

Fallin'도영, 김민하

Doyoung, a member of the popular boy group NCT, is an idol known for his sexy high-range vocals.

The work in which he co-stars with actress Kim Min-ha is “Fallin’.” It’s a languid number that lays vocals over a simple track, creating a gentle, heartwarming atmosphere throughout.

In particular, Jihoon’s high-note parts are absolutely entrancing to listen to.
