Cool when sung by men! Popular and hit songs by female artists
“Songs by female artists are hard to sing…” You hear that a lot, but that’s not necessarily true!
The reason female songs can feel difficult is the difference in vocal range between men and women.
In other words, as long as you adjust the key, you can sing songs by female artists just fine.
That said, women often have a wider range than men, so in that sense, male singers may find female artists’ songs a bit harder to sing.
So this time, we’ve picked out female-artist tracks that are especially cool in style and easy for men to sing.
We also touch on some professional vocal knowledge and techniques, so be sure to check it out!

Cool when sung by a man! Popular songs and hit tracks by female artists (41–50)
Flashback feat. Daichi YamamotoMīna Okabe

I’d like to introduce a sophisticated track here: “Flashback feat.
Daichi Yamamoto.” This work is a collaboration between Mina Okabe, a Japan-born singer based in Denmark with global acclaim, and rapper Daichi Yamamoto.
While Mina Okabe usually focuses on genres like dream pop, this track blends jazz and soul into what you might call neo-soul.
Her voice is quite low, making it a song that’s relatively easy for male singers to perform.

Fall in LoveTokunaga Hideaki

This is a cover in which Hideaki Tokunaga sings, from a male perspective, a song that has come to be loved by many as a quintessential romance song from a woman’s point of view.
Released in July 2007, it drew attention as the lead single from the album “VOCALIST 3.” The original, sung by Akiko Kobayashi, was a smash hit in 1985 as the theme song for the TBS drama “Friday Wives III: Falling in Love.” Tokunaga’s rich, resonant voice offers a new angle on the bittersweetness and joy of the moment you fall in love.
It’s a recommended track for when you want to savor the flutter of a new romance or reminisce about days gone by.
SquallMatsumoto Eiko

A love song from a woman’s perspective that captures the fresh thrill of romance, like the beautiful sky after a passing shower.
It’s a gem of a ballad where a warm, relatable poetic world of bittersweet feelings blends perfectly with a gentle, translucent melody.
Eiko Matsumoto’s vibrant voice vividly conveys the delicate emotions of a woman falling in love.
Released in September 1999, the song drew attention as an insert track for the Fuji TV drama “Perfect Love!” starring Masaharu Fukuyama, reaching No.
7 on the Oricon charts and selling 400,000 copies.
It was also included on the album “From The First Touch” and is known for Masaharu Fukuyama’s self-cover.
scrap and buildELAIZA

The actress Elaiza Ikeda, who enjoys overwhelming support from young people, also performs as a singer under the name ELAIZA and has had several hit songs.
Among her works, the one I especially recommend is Scrap & Build.
Because her natural voice is on the lower side and the melody sits within a narrow range, it’s very easy for men to sing as well.
If you use a vocal technique that adds thickness through overtones, it will sound even better, so I recommend trying it.
If you have trouble producing overtones, place your hand in front of your mouth and adjust your singing so that you’re constantly feeling your breath flow.
Dangerous TwoShishido Kafuka

Artist Shishido Kavka—singer, drummer, model, and actress—earns overwhelming support from many women thanks to her multifaceted talent.
She’s produced several hit songs, but among them, the one that’s especially easy for men to sing is Kiken na Futari.
If I had to sum it up in a word, it feels like classic rock.
It’s a sharp, tight rock track, but the vocal line itself is simple and kept within a narrow range throughout.
Even men who can’t hit high notes can sing it without trouble, so try performing it with a bold, confident attitude.
DDDREOL

Reol is a female singer known for her solid vocal ability and catchy musical style.
While her core sound hasn’t changed much, she’s recently been shifting toward a hip-hop-influenced K-pop vibe.
Among her tracks, I especially recommend “DDD.” Although it spans a wide vocal range, most of it consists of rap parts, and the high notes in the chorus can be sung roughly with a bit of a shout, so overall it’s a song that’s relatively easy for men to sing.
In conclusion
Recent songs by female artists may have been more difficult than generally easy-to-sing tracks, simply because they demand straightforwardly high-level technique. Even so, in terms of vocal range, many of them were probably comfortable for men to sing, weren’t they? At Rug Music, we also offer many articles that focus on vocal technique.
