Karaoke songs where even men with low voices can aim for high scores
In recent years, Japanese pop music tends to have far more dramatic pitch jumps compared to a decade or two ago.
It’s now commonplace for a string of low parts to be suddenly interrupted by a sharp falsetto.
With that backdrop, scoring high in karaoke has become more difficult than before—especially for men with lower voices, who may feel it even more strongly.
This time, we’ve picked out Japanese songs that are easier to score well on in karaoke, specifically for men with low voices, spanning multiple generations.
We’ve also included many current hits, so be sure to check it out to the end!

[For Men] Karaoke Songs That Can Score High Even If You Have a Low Voice (21–30)
Limit-Break x SurvivorHikawa Kiyoshi

It’s the opening theme of Dragon Ball Super, a classic anison track packed with the same momentum and power as the anime itself.
The singer is Kiyoshi Hikawa, which surprised me at first since I didn’t have that image of him.
The overall vocal range is quite narrow at F#3–F#4, which should be comfortable for male singers.
However, because similar notes continue throughout, maintaining consistency is important.
The chorus has many sustained notes, so you can rack up points quickly there.
Keep an eye on the pitch bar and hold the notes all the way to the end.
AzaleaYonezu Kenshi

Kenshi Yonezu’s hit number “Azalea.” Among Yonezu’s songs, this one features especially many low-register parts, making it a perfect choice for men with lower voices.
However, there is a section toward the end that uses falsetto.
A low voice doesn’t necessarily mean you’re bad at falsetto, but if that part is difficult to sing, it’s recommended to intentionally raise the key to make the falsetto easier to produce.
It’s a big hit at karaoke, so definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.
DRESSING ROOMnatori

Singer Natori has a distinctive, somewhat childlike tone despite his low voice.
Many low-voiced male singers probably include his signature song “overdose” in their repertoire.
Among Natori’s tracks, the one I especially recommend is “DRESSING ROOM.” Rather than being a low song, it’s better described as not high, making every section comfortably singable.
The vocal line moves gently up and down, so it’s perfect if you want to sing with a languid, ennui-filled vibe.
fireworks (launched into the sky)Yonezu Kenshi

Regarding the duet song Uchiage Hanabi with DAOKO, this time I’ll introduce Kenshi Yonezu’s solo version! The overall vocal range sits at a relatively calm C3–A4, showcasing Yonezu’s characteristically gentle, tender tone throughout.
In fact, pitch tends to become less stable in the lower notes than the higher ones, so it’s important to pay close attention to the very beginning of each phrase.
If your breathing is shallow, it becomes harder to produce sound, so focus on taking deep breaths.
To nail the pitch, it also helps to lift your facial muscles.
Rather than lifting them while singing, raise them as you inhale and keep them engaged as you phonate.
Since the song is relaxed, there’s ample time for breaths, so don’t forget to take one each time.
Also, because it sits in the midrange, make sure to project your voice forward so it doesn’t get muffled!
Knock Knockpirafu seijin

One of the most talked-about rappers in the current MC battle scene is Pilaf Seijin.
He has a lot of haters, but just as many fans, and his streaming numbers are exceptional for a rapper.
Among his tracks, the one I especially recommend is Knock Knock.
While it’s not a particularly low-range piece, the vocal line is simple, so even men with lower voices can sing it comfortably.
Definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.
ACTORTomonari Sora

Sora Tomonari is a popular singer-songwriter who enjoys overwhelming support from teens and people in their twenties.
He has produced many hit songs to date, but among them, “ACTOR” became a particularly big hit.
This work highlights Tomonari’s specialty—his low register—and most of the vocals are sung in the low to low-mid range.
While the structure is somewhat unconventional, the vocal line itself is simple, so if you’re a man with a low voice, consider adding it to your repertoire.
absolute zeronatori

This track, pre-released on April 5, 2024, was written as the opening theme for the TV anime WIND BREAKER and has been generating a lot of buzz! In karaoke, it’s noted as a high-difficulty song that’s a worthy challenge for male singers.
The overall vocal range spans A#2 to G#4, which feels quite broad in the lower register.
It should be within a comfortable range for most men, but the key is how smoothly you can transition into falsetto.
Since the tempo is on the faster side, make sure to keep a solid sense of rhythm as you sing.
The melody line doesn’t feel like it moves up and down much overall, but the section after the first verse might be a bit intricate.
Stay pitch-conscious and keep your facial muscles lifted so you can consistently project from the same placement!
