[Childcare] Feel May! A special feature of fun craft ideas to make

May, with its warm and refreshing breezes, is full of exciting events for children!

Many teachers may be thinking about creating crafts that capture the feeling of the season.

In this article, we’ll introduce recommended craft projects for May.

We’ve gathered plenty of fun ideas you’ll want to make—from event-themed crafts to insects and fruits seen in May, as well as vividly colored plants.

Feel free to adapt the activities to match children’s interests and curiosity, and enjoy making them together.

Because the pieces children create are treated as works, we use the term “seisaku” (production/work) in the text.

Kitchen paper bouquet

@niconico_mama

It looks just like the real thing! 😍✨ You know how you go for a walk, pick some flowers, and then they wilt… such a common thing, right?? But with this, you can easily make flowers that look real and never wilt! 😍✨ The material is—believe it or not—kitchen paper!! Color it with water-based markers, shape it into a flower, then spritz it with water 💕 And in no time, your flower is done! By the way, you don’t even have to cut it into circles—just crumple it up as a square and secure it with a pipe cleaner, and that works too 😆👍 They look cute as room decor, and they’d make a great Mother’s Day gift next month… 😍♥️ Dads of the world! Please make these with your kids 🥹✨ ♥️ ‪๛ก(ー̀ωー́ก)‬ <If you make it, Mom will be happy> Try making them in lots of colors and have fun! 😊💕 —————————— Here’s what I used: • Kitchen paper (paper towels) • Pipe cleaners • Water-based markers • Scissors • Spray bottle and water If you don’t have a spray bottle, you can use a paintbrush with water or a dropper! —————————— ☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆ Thank you always for your comments and likes 😊 Some people even tell me, “I made it!” and that makes me super happy ☺️♥️ I’m looking forward to seeing what you all play with and make 😆✨✨ ☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆Mother’s Day craft#PapercraftHandmade#Handmade Mother's Day Gift

You can even create your own original vivid colors! Here are some ideas for kitchen paper towel bouquets.

Let’s arrange everyday paper towels that are familiar to kids and try making a bouquet.

You’ll need paper towels, water-based markers, a spray bottle, scissors, and pipe cleaners.

After cutting the paper towels into circles and coloring them with water-based markers, shape them with pipe cleaners and spray them with water.

The steps are simple, but the result is beautiful and brilliant.

It’s also nice to add a touch with wrapping.

Take this opportunity to give it a try!

cherry (sweet cherry; cherry fruit)

[Preschool Craft] Make it with origami! Cute cherries ♪ | Origami Cherry
cherry (sweet cherry; cherry fruit)

This is an adorable origami craft featuring two cherry fruits neatly side by side.

Cut a sheet of origami paper in half, then fold it in half to form a square.

Unfold once, fold both edges in to meet at the center, crease the ends, and fold them back in the opposite direction.

Flip it over and adjust it so it looks like a ribbon; then fold the corners inward in small triangles to complete the cherry fruit.

Cut a long, thin strip from origami paper, make an additional slit at its center, and fold it so it spreads diagonally to form the stems.

Glue the stems in place—and you’re done!

In conclusion

We introduced recommended crafts for May.

They ranged from flat to three-dimensional creations.

Display the children’s work in places where they can enjoy seeing it—on walls, by windows, or in hallways—or use the pieces in pretend play to expand the possibilities and make it even more fun.

Prepare plenty of materials and decorative supplies so children can make the most of their ideas.

It would be wonderful if they could experience the joy of turning their imaginations into tangible creations!
