Guess the written number

It’s a piece of mental magic that looks just like mind reading: you correctly guess a four-digit number that the spectator has written on a piece of paper.
You give them a sheet of paper folded into quarters and have them write a four-digit number on the line, then sign underneath.
They fold the paper into quarters again, you hand it to them, and they hold it tightly—yet you still name the number.
The trick is very simple: when folding the paper into quarters, you leave a tiny edge protruding.
You hook your finger on that bit and, while it remains folded, you sneak a quick peek at the number inside.
Mental magic using a smartphone

It’s a magic trick where you have someone roll a die on a smartphone screen, remember one of the numbers, then turn the screen face down—and you astonishingly name the exact number they chose.
The app is specialized for mental dice, letting you freely decide which number the spectator will end up with, so it’s easy to create strong moments of surprise.
It also includes a feature to know which number was rolled, so beyond simply detecting the result, you can strengthen the mystery with a wide range of presentations, such as combining it with prediction effects.
If you focus on smooth patter that doesn’t tip there’s a method at work, the audience will feel the wonder more directly—highly recommended.
Guess the color of the pen you took

Choose a pen in your favorite color.
This is a magic trick where I guess that color.
Before you see the explanation, it’s baffling how I can know, but once you see the secret, you’ll be surprised at how simple it is.
It’s simple, but it looks easy to perform once you get used to it.
It seems you can apply it in other ways too, so definitely give it a try.
The thought-of card always matches.

Prepare two piles of playing cards and have the spectator choose whichever pile they like.
The magician and the spectator both thoroughly shuffle their respective piles, and the spectator imagines a card.
They then search for that card in their pile, place it face down on top, exchange piles with the magician, and shuffle again.
They exchange piles once more, the spectator again places the imagined card on top, and both the top cards of the magician’s and spectator’s piles are turned over simultaneously.
The magician and the spectator have chosen the same card.
Ambitious Card

The Ambitious Card, considered a fundamental in card magic, is a popular routine where a signed card is placed into the deck but rises to the top with a snap of the fingers.
Because the Ambitious Card relies heavily on presentation, it’s a card trick that anyone can readily attempt with practice.

Here’s a magic trick that can guess any number from 1 to 65.
The method is explained in detail, so be sure to give it a try.
