Fun Mother's Day activities. Recreation games (11–20)
hopscotch

It’s a game where you draw circles on the ground and hop over them rhythmically.
Many people probably played it when they were kids! For young children, it’s a great exercise for building a healthy body.
You could even compete to see who can move the fastest.
balloon volleyball

This is a game that treats a balloon like a volleyball.
Split into two teams and rally the balloon so it doesn’t touch the ground.
Regular balloons work fine, but using a large balloon like in the video looks fun too.
Give it a try with a big group!
two-person cat’s cradle

It’s a game where two people relay cat’s cradle without letting the string shape collapse.
You can look up the techniques online to see where to put your fingers and how to do it, but it’s also fun to figure it out yourselves.
Coming up with your own original moves is a great idea, too.
Handmade savon gem

Here’s how to make Savon Gem, adorable handmade soaps that look just like ice cream or sweets: melt clear soap, add color with dyes, cut out shapes with molds, then embed them in transparent clear soap.
They make great gifts, but how about gathering the whole family and making them together?
Stacking empty cans

It’s a game where you compete to see how high you can stack empty cans.
You can play individually, or it might be fun to do team matches or adults versus kids.
It might be a bit of work to prepare a large number of empty cans, but it’s a fun game you can play indoors.
