Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly

Travis Scott is a popular American rapper.
The film “Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly” delves into his album production and live performances, and even his private life, including parenting and legal issues.
Because the story is carefully structured leading up to the final concert, it feels more like watching a movie than a documentary.
It’s a great introductory pick even for those who aren’t familiar with American hip-hop.
Whitney Houston I Wanna Dance with Somebody

Whitney Houston, a singer who passed away at the young age of 48.
Released in theaters in 2022, the film portraying her life is Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody.
It depicts the journey she took to become a world-renowned singer.
The movie features many of her smash-hit classics, including I Will Always Love You and I Wanna Dance with Somebody.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or someone who has yet to hear her songs, why not witness the life of a star on the big screen?
Shine! Praise Team

You know how sometimes a film that divides opinion ends up being more interesting than one everyone unanimously calls “fun”? That’s exactly the kind of buzzworthy movie Praise This is—in a good way.
The story begins with a perpetually rebellious young woman who dreams of becoming a superstar singer-songwriter and gets sent to Atlanta.
There, she ends up with a struggling gospel choir—an introduction that alone is exciting.
The film is directed by Tina Gordon, who wrote Drumline and produced Little.
It’s a refreshing watch that might make you wonder, “Why is this even controversial?”
Shintaro Sakamoto LIVE 2022 @ Cabaret New Hakuba

Have you ever heard of “Yura-Tei”? Of course, music aficionados will know “Yura Yura Teikoku,” one of the few bona fide psychedelic rock bands in Japan.
They’re no longer active, but if you like Nirvana or The Zombies, you should give them a listen at least once.
Anyway, back to the point: the live shows by Shintaro Sakamoto, who was the vocalist of Yura Yura Teikoku, are seriously on fire.
Not only does he carry forward the shimmering, warped textures from the Yura-Tei era, but since going solo he’s also been crafting straightforward, pop-leaning melodies—essential listening even if you’re not already a fan.
Even if you don’t usually watch live music programs, don’t miss this!
The Lady in the Orchestra: The Wind that Changed the NY Phil

This is a documentary about Orin O’Brien, a double bassist who became the first woman to join the New York Philharmonic as a full member.
It portrays her journey to success as a musician—entering under the great conductor Leonard Bernstein and forging an independent path in the male-dominated orchestral world of the time.
Since joining in 1966, she has enjoyed a career spanning over 50 years, and her way of life—Bernstein even called her a “miracle worker”—is sure to inspire courage.
