Wham!

Wham! is one of the UK’s most iconic musical duos.
Beyond their fantastic songs, they’re beloved for the personalities of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley, as well as the story of two childhood classmates forming a band.
The documentary film “Wham!” captures all of this charm.
Featuring previously unseen footage, it retraces the duo’s journey.
I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good success story.
Johnny Hallyday: Music and Life in His Own Words

Johnny Hallyday, born in Paris, France, who sadly passed away in 2017, has been revered as a national singer and actor representing France ever since his debut in 1960 at the young age of 17.
Johnny Hallyday: The Man in His Own Words is, quite literally, a rare documentary in which Johnny himself speaks about his own life.
Precisely because he isn’t particularly well known in Japan, watching this film can be a great opportunity to understand just how charismatic a star he was in France.
It’s also highly recommended for anyone interested in the history of French rock, chanson, and pop music!
Technoboys

It’s a story about a unit called Technoboys, which once enjoyed immense popularity, reuniting and aiming to rise to the top again.
Since they’ve fallen from grace once and have gotten older, there’s not only brilliance but also a certain wistfulness about them.
It strongly emphasizes how things don’t go as smoothly as they did at their peak, and it’s a work with strong comedic elements.
It’s also a piece that makes you want to pay attention to how the unit’s performance has changed over time.
Dolly Parton: A MusiCares Tribute

Dolly Parton, a legendary artist with a commanding presence in country music.
In 2019, she was honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year, an award presented by the Recording Academy to recognize artistic achievements and philanthropic work, and the concert from that event is available on Netflix.
She performed alongside artists across genres, including Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus, and many artists celebrated this remarkable accomplishment.
Miles Davis: The Five-Year Hiatus

Miles Davis, a maverick with a singular presence in the history of jazz and a reigning ‘king’ who continues to influence countless artists, remains a legendary figure whose life itself is fascinating.
Miles Ahead is a biographical film in which Don Cheadle serves as director, screenwriter, and lead actor.
The film focuses on the late 1970s, when Miles was effectively living in retirement, and its soundtrack was nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media at the 59th Grammy Awards.
Of course, as a biopic it may not be entirely true, but if you can enjoy it as a creative work, it’s worth checking out at least once.
Ryuichi Sakamoto PERFORMANCE IN NEW YORK async

From Ryuichi Sakamoto’s 2009 album Out of Noise to async in 2017—his first in eight years.
Bearing a title that means “asynchronous,” the album reflected his principle of “liking it so much I don’t want anyone to hear it,” with a steadfast refusal to release any tracks in advance.
The live performance of this work was likewise a rare event, held for a small, limited audience at New York’s Park Avenue Armory.
Immerse yourself in its profound world with the Netflix performance film Ryuichi Sakamoto PERFORMANCE IN NEW YORK async.

Hikaru Utada Live Sessions from AIR Studios

Did you check out Hikaru Utada’s 2022 album “BAD Mode”? It also drew attention for the paid livestream performance on the album’s release day, where she showcased tracks from the record.
That performance is captured in “Hikaru Utada Live Sessions from Air Studios.” Filmed at Air Studios in London and performed live with musicians, it offers a different kind of appeal from the studio recordings.
Also, be sure to note the high-resolution video and high-quality audio that were widely praised at the time of the stream.
