Flying and restoration of a shredded newspaper
This is a magic trick where a newspaper that was supposedly torn into 16 pieces disappears and is restored back into a single sheet! You place a board with rubber bands on it, positioned so the audience can see it, and cover it with a handkerchief.
Then you take a newspaper and tear it into 16 pieces right in front of the audience.
Be sure to show that it’s really torn, and have a spectator hold on to one of the 16 pieces.
Put the remaining pieces into a paper bag and show that they’re inside.
After a magic gesture, something mysterious happens: the newspaper vanishes from the bag and has moved to the board, which you supposedly never touched.
The newspaper is now neatly restored to its original state!

First, prepare a newspaper and a paper bag, and put the newspaper into the bag.
Then, a box of tissues comes out of the bag—that’s the trick.
It’d be super handy if newspapers could really turn into tissues, right? The reveal is just my guess since it’s not shown in the video, but you can make a hidden pocket inside the paper bag and pre-load a flattened tissue box in it.
Then you tuck the newspaper into the hidden pocket and, while drawing attention to keep the conversation flowing, quickly assemble the tissue box inside the bag as you pull it out.
The key is to assemble it swiftly while keeping the audience engaged.

Roll up a sheet of newspaper, and—like magic!—a beautiful flower appears from inside.
It’s a flashy yet simple trick.
The method is easy, so it’s great to imitate.
First, take a newspaper cut to one-quarter size and wrap it around the flower.
Next, place the flower wrapped in newspaper on the table, and lay another full sheet of newspaper over it.
Now you’re all set! From there, hold the wrapped flower on the inside and roll everything up so it stays hidden behind the larger newspaper.

Once you learn how it works, you’ll be surprised: “Was it really that easy?” Prepare two newspapers of the same size and stick them together in the middle with double-sided tape.
Crumple one into a ball and hide it behind the other sheet.
Tear the open newspaper from the edge into pieces, then wrap and crumple the torn parts together, and finally unfold the crumpled sheet that was hidden behind to reveal the intact newspaper.
