Fun Number-Guessing Magic! A Collection of Easy Ideas (1–10)
The sum of the four-digit numbers each of them names matches the prophecy.

It’s a mysterious magic trick where, for some reason, the sum of five seemingly random four-digit numbers ends up being predicted by the magician.
First, you ask a spectator to name any four-digit number.
As soon as you see that number, you write down your prediction on a note.
The number you write as the prediction is the spectator’s number minus 2, plus 20,000.
Next, you have them name another four-digit number, and this time the magician announces a four-digit number.
The number you announce is the one that adds to the second four-digit number to make 9999.
Then the spectator names another four-digit number, and again the magician announces the number that makes the sum 9999 with that one.
When you add them all up, the total matches the number you predicted!
A magic trick where the calculation results are the same

It’s a magic trick where no matter which number from 1 to 9 you present, the final result will always be the foretold number: 3.
First, have someone choose any number from 1 to 9.
Add 1 to it, then double the result.
Next, add 4 and divide by 2.
Finally, subtract the original number they chose, and amazingly, the result will be 3! If you’re good at math, you might quickly figure out why it works.
It’s an easy number trick, so memorize the steps and give it a try!
A simple number-guessing magic trick you can do with a 3×3 grid!

This is a prediction magic trick where anyone can easily guess the final number.
The trick uses a whiteboard with a 3×3 grid numbered 1–8 and some magnets.
First, have a spectator choose any number.
From that number, move clockwise the number of spaces indicated by the number you landed on.
For example, if the first choice is 6, move 6 spaces; if the next number you land on is 4, move 4 spaces, and so on.
After repeating this three times, you will always end up on 8.
So you place a paper with the number 8 stuck to the back of the whiteboard and reveal that it was “predicted” from the start.
The secret is very simple: just place the even numbers—2, 4, 6, and 8—in specific positions!
Guessing numbers with dice

The number-guessing magic trick using dice is also a must-see.
First, prepare two ordinary dice.
After handing them to the spectator, the performer turns around.
Have the spectator roll the dice and add the numbers that come up.
Next, have them add the opposite face of either one of the dice to the total, then roll once more and add that result as well.
Finally, with a bit of performance to suggest telepathy, just add 7 to the numbers currently showing on the dice and you’ll have the correct answer.
Number guessing with 5 cards

As a magic trick you can perform repeatedly for fun, here’s a number-guessing routine using five cards.
First, prepare paper and a pen, and have the spectator write down any number from 1 to 30.
Next, show the spectator five cards filled with many numbers.
Ask whether the chosen number appears on each card.
Then, simply add the top numbers of the cards for which they answered “yes,” and you’ll arrive at the correct answer.
Since it only involves addition, anyone can do it as long as they prepare the five secret cards in advance.
