Easy with rubber bands! Paper cup rocket

Let’s make a rocket you can play with indoors using a familiar material: paper cups! Since it’s made with paper cups, you don’t have to worry about getting hurt when you launch it.
First, prepare two paper cups and cut four slits into one of them.
Next, cross two rubber bands, tie them together, and attach them to the slits on the paper cup.
Your rocket is ready! Place this ‘rocket’ over the other paper cup and release your hand to make it fly.
It’s also fun to draw freely on the paper cups with markers or decorate them with construction paper and stickers.
Pop the bag! A paper cup rocket leaps out

Here’s how to make a paper cup rocket using just two paper cups and an air-filled plastic bag.
Cut out the bottom of one paper cup with a utility knife, then attach the plastic bag to the opposite (drinking) end.
Gather the bag so it fits snugly around the rim and secure it firmly with cellophane tape.
Decorate the second paper cup like a rocket using colored paper or stickers.
Place the decorated “rocket” cup on top of the first cup, then give the air-filled plastic bag a quick push—pop! The rocket will shoot out with a burst of speed.
Paper cup rocket launched by air

If you have a large cardboard box to spare, how about using it as a launch pad for a paper cup rocket? It’s very easy to make: orient the box so that you can slap the side to push air out, and cut a hole on the top large enough to seat a paper cup.
Use a utility knife to cut the hole slightly smaller than the rim of the cup.
Place the paper cup over the hole, then slap the side of the box; the air rushing out will launch the rocket.
Seal any gaps other than the hole with packing tape or similar to prevent air from escaping.
Blow air into it and launch! Paper Cup Rocket

It looks like an ordinary rocket made from paper cups, but blow into the straw on the back and it instantly transforms into a rocket that launches with a burst! To make it, prepare two paper cups.
Cut off the stepped rim of one cup and stack it over the other.
Decorate it like a rocket using colored paper, then make a hole in the back and insert a straw.
At the end of the straw is a plastic bag tucked inside the cup; when you blow into the straw, the bag pops out, launching the rocket.
Put small pieces of torn colored paper inside the bag to create a spark-like effect when it blasts off.
In conclusion
We introduced some paper cup rocket ideas. Each one is easy to make, so they’re great for summer vacation crafts or preschool art activities. There are no rules for decorating the paper cups, so feel free to create your own unique rocket. Once you’re done, it would be fun to see whose rocket flies the farthest with friends or family.
