LACCO TOWER is a rock band known for its unique sound that layers piano over hard guitar rock.
They made their major-label debut in 2015 with the album “Hikoufukuron,” and in 2016 their first single “Usuzakura” was used as the ending theme for the anime Dragon Ball Super.
Keyboardist Shinichi Jet makes use of not only acoustic piano but also electric piano; on “Lemon,” released in 2009, he showcases a slightly overdriven electric piano tone.
I don’t know you.Mrs. GREEN APPLE

Mrs.
GREEN APPLE is a band that made their major debut in 2015.
Their colorful musicality and bursting pop sensibility are truly captivating.
Since their music became available on streaming services, they’ve gained massive popularity—especially among younger listeners—thanks to killer tracks like “Ao to Natsu” and the ballad “Tenbyou no Uta.” They initially performed as a five- to six-member group, but went on hiatus in 2019.
When they resumed activities in Phase 2, they returned as a trio.
The rhythms woven by frontman Motoki Omori, guitarist Hiroto Wakai, and keyboardist Ryoka Fujisawa are invigorating.
Since Phase 2, in addition to their original sound, they’ve also made a strong impression with a fresh presentation that incorporates sleek visual changes and the fun of dance.

is a musical unit centered around vocalist ACA-ne, with a fluid lineup that changes over time.
Although there isn’t a fixed pianist in the group, they have many rock-oriented songs led by piano, such as their first single released in 2018, “Byoushin wo Kamu.” For tours and festival appearances, pianists like Nao Nishimura, who played on the recording of “Byoushin wo Kamu,” and Jun Murayama, who performed with ACA-ne on the YouTube channel THE FIRST TAKE, join as support members.

DiarySEKAI NO OWARI

SEKAI NO OWARI is a band also known for having a member who wears a clown mask.
Although they may look comical at first glance, their sound is classic band music, and their style ranges widely—from the delicate piano ballad “Diary” to the groovy “Habit.” The keyboardist is Saori, a highly skilled musician who graduated from a university’s piano program.
She can play not only the piano but also the accordion, and she showcased her performance in the music video for their 2013 single “RPG.”

Ivy Color is a co-ed band formed in Osaka in 2015.
True to their moniker as a nostalgic piano rock band, their sound is distinguished by a captivating, piano-forward arrangement.
Vocalist and guitarist Atsushi Satake, who writes both lyrics and music, is an original member carried over from their predecessor band, Signal Days.
When launching Ivy Color, keyboardist Sae Kawaguchi and bassist Nao Seki joined the lineup.
As the name “ivy” signifies “eternal love,” love songs are a hallmark of their work.
Their shimmering, gentle sound draws you into an atmosphere where the fleetingness and emotion of youth are warmly embraced.
Summer IllusionOmoinotake

Omoinotake is the first piano trio band from Shimane, and their appeal lies in a sound that shows influences from R&B and hip-hop.
Reo Fujii, who serves as the vocalist, also plays the keyboard, and apparently started learning piano in elementary school.
In their major-label debut track EVERBLUE, which was also used as the opening theme for the anime Blue Period, you can hear a rhythmic piano accompaniment.
On the YouTube channel THE FIRST TAKE in 2020, they performed One Day in a piano-and-vocal arrangement.
WantQaijff

Qujila is a guitarless piano trio band that made their major debut in 2017 with the single “Ai o Oshiete Kureta Kimi e.” The vocalist, Ayano Mori, graduated from the piano department of Nagoya College of Music, and her style is piano-and-vocal performance backed by solid technique.
And beyond being simply pop, tracks like “Hikari o Sagashi ni” from their 2016 album Life is Wonderful also show influences from progressive rock.
