Hair accessory
Let me introduce some stylish hair accessories made using plastic bottles.
You can shape the plastic into flowers and leaves.
Depending on the size of the piece, the work can be very delicate, so please proceed with care.
Once you’ve shaped your piece and added color, your cute hair accessory is complete! One of the charms of handmade items is that you can get creative—making them small or large to suit your purpose and choosing whatever colors you like.
Be sure to try making your own original hair accessories!
ornament

Here’s how to make ornaments by cutting plastic bottles.
Cut and flatten a carbonated drink bottle, then trim the jagged edges to make them straight.
Make two identical pieces and fit them together to form a box.
Wrap it cutely with ribbon purchased from a 100-yen shop, and you’re done! You can also switch up the ribbons and get creative to make adorable ornaments.
Be sure to make lots and have fun.
Please be careful when using a utility knife or other cutters to cut the bottle.
snowman

These snowman ornaments made from plastic bottles are perfect as Christmas decor or gifts.
We use Calpis Water bottles, making the most of the white contents while adding decorations like a hat, ribbon, and facial features.
Although we chose this drink to take advantage of its white color, using an empty bottle will let you enjoy it longer as interior decor.
If you make it with an empty bottle, we recommend using a rounder-shaped bottle to emphasize the snowman look.
sensory bottle

Sensory bottles are beautiful to watch as the colorful decorations move slowly, and they can be very calming.
This project lets you make your own sensory bottle using a plastic bottle and customize the colors to your liking.
Fill the inside with baby oil or liquid laundry starch, then add glitter, beads, and other decorations as you wish.
Finally, seal the cap securely with tape, and it’s done.
Aim for a look where the decorations move beautifully by considering not just the colors, but also the amount of decorations and the balance with the liquid.
hanging basket

Let me show you how to make a hanging basket using a plastic bottle.
Take a square plastic bottle and cut the neck horizontally, then cut vertically where the flowers will be planted.
Apply vinyl tape around the top edge of the container, and attach gap-filling tape to the planting opening to prevent soil from spilling out.
That completes the basket portion.
Next, plant your flowers and add sphagnum moss to keep the soil in place, and you’re done! It’s lovely to make several and display them in a row.
Give it a try!
