[For Kids] Fun Pool Recreation Games (11–20)
Bubbling and bobbing

Bubbling and bobbing start by taking a deep breath and submerging, then exhaling underwater with a steady bubbling sound.
This is called bubbling.
Once you’ve fully exhaled underwater, lift your face out of the water and take a big breath in.
This is called bobbing.
Repeating this cycle is what we refer to as bubbling and bobbing.
These are the basic movements for breathing.
For practice, it can be fun to challenge your limits by competing with friends to see how long you can keep exhaling underwater.
Water play with plastic bottles

When it comes to water play, water-play toys are a must! You can buy toys like water guns and balls at shopping centers, but how about making your own toys this summer? Here we introduce a watering can, a shovel, and magic juice, all made from used plastic bottles! They’re all easy to make and the materials are easy to gather, so they’re perfect for a quick craft project.
Use them during water play and the water and sunlight will sparkle, making them beautiful and so much fun!
Rock Picking Game

I think this is a classic recreational game that everyone has surely played at least once in their school pool.
As you know, the way it’s played is to scatter small stones in the pool and then everyone dives in to pick them up.
The person who collects the most stones wins.
So besides swimming, being good at diving gives you an advantage.
Depending on the rules it might be a foul, but using your feet skillfully to pick them up could be allowed.
This is a common one, but make sure you don’t accidentally pick up the pool disinfectant by mistake thinking it’s a stone.
Sea otter float

The “otter float” is a race where you face up like a sea otter and kick to see who’s fastest.
First, get into the water up to your shoulders.
Then turn onto your back and slowly lift your hips while stretching your whole body.
Once your body floats naturally, relax both legs and start flutter kicking.
The key is to keep your ankles extended and relaxed.
Try racing your friends and have fun with it.
This is also used in school pool advancement tests, isn’t it? Even small children can probably do it in shallow water.
Fitness test at the pool

We’re all familiar with fitness tests on land, but “fitness tests in the pool” are pretty rare, aren’t they? Doing them together turns into a super fun pool activity.
Using dolphin floaties and swim rings is such a perfect summer vibe, too.
There are lots of ways to test fitness in the water, but here are some recommendations: race to see who can cling to a dolphin floatie and travel the farthest, compete for the longest underwater distance, or do a free-swim time attack.
Let’s have fun cheering and competing to see who’s the most fit!
