Exciting prank ideas. Fun tricks for everyone (1–10)
Pretending to splash water prank

This is a prank where you point a paper cup as if you’re about to splash water, but it turns out there was no water in it.
The key is to make it look like you’re pouring water from a capped plastic bottle into the paper cup.
Reduce the amount of water in the bottle beforehand so it makes a sound when tilted, and insert the tip into the cup to hide the cap—these small details matter.
Also pay attention to the speed as you transition from the pouring motion to pointing the cup at the person, and make sure to build the shock after lulling them into a sense of security.
A scary face in the car window

The sight of an eerie face reflected in a car window is a classic pattern among ghost phenomena.
This prank takes inspiration from that situation where a scary face appears on a window.
While inside the car, you ask the target in the passenger seat to close the window, and as the window rolls up, a scary face that’s been attached there comes into view.
Because something is stuck to the clear window, the target feels a sense of wrongness, instinctively looks in that direction, and gets startled.
It’s recommended to use an image or photo with a strong impact—something that surpasses the mere feeling that ‘something’s on the window.’
clear ramen

This is a transparent ramen made mainly with transparent ingredients such as clear soy sauce, clear dashi, and clear glass noodles.
The finished dish looks like cloudy hot water with glass noodles sunk in it—hardly an appetizing appearance—but when you eat it, it mysteriously tastes like regular shoyu ramen.
Because the flavor that spreads across your tongue differs from what the appearance suggests, your brain gets confused even if you know how it’s made.
Since it’s about enjoying tasty food, it’s something everyone present can have fun with, and it’s also an interesting prank that lets you examine the relationship between appearance and taste.
A prank where the flavors of the snacks are swapped

If you want to pull off an elaborate prank, I recommend one where the flavors of snacks are switched.
Haven’t you ever had the experience back in school of taking a drink thinking it was water, only to find out it was a sports drink? It’s not even something gross, but it really shocks you, doesn’t it? When setting up the prank, go bold and swap the flavor for something completely different.
If someone bites into a sweet snack and finds a super spicy one inside, you’ll probably get a great reaction! There can be packaging issues, so if you’re good with your hands, why not give it a try?
Respond to the entire conversation using shiritori.

A prank where you keep replying to the target entirely in shiritori while having a normal conversation.
You can enjoy how the chat veers off in unexpected directions—like breaking into song or suddenly tossing out words of love.
Since the target is talking as usual, it’s best to start off naturally.
When you run out of words, share some trivia or do an impression to keep the shiritori going.
Once the target notices that you’re acting differently than usual, reveal the prank.
If they don’t notice at all, it’s also fun to deliberately say something silly to tip them off.
Loud Volume Prank

A prank where you suddenly make a loud noise in front of the target to startle them.
Prepare various noise-making items like bells or party poppers used at celebrations.
It’s recommended to approach from behind and set it off when the target is off guard—like when they’re doing their makeup or eating.
If you’re doing this with multiple people, it can help to assign roles, such as someone to chat with the target and someone to make the loud noise.
After the prank, be sure to follow up kindly—say something nice to your family or friends to smooth things over.
sweets bento

How about a sweets bento prank for close friends? Using items like a rare cheesecake from a famous confectioner that looks exactly like a croquette, or cream puffs made in Hiroshima that can only be mistaken for takoyaki, you can make a lunchbox composed entirely of sweets.
The prank is to have them eat it thinking it’s an ordinary bento.
As long as you check in advance and avoid people who really dislike sweet things, it should be a fun prank that won’t hurt anyone.
