Japanese pro wrestling entrance themes | A selection from NJPW, NOAH, and BJW!

Japan is one of the world’s leading pro wrestling nations, and Japanese wrestlers attract global attention.

One of the cultural pillars that supports pro wrestling is the entrance theme.

Compared to combat sports, pro wrestling entrances are flashy, and many of the songs are distinctive.

However, there’s a major drawback: information about pro wrestling entrance themes is very limited.

This time, we’ve picked out some of the most famous pro wrestling entrance themes.

From the latest tracks to classic themes of yesteryear, we’ve got a wide selection!

Not only from New Japan Pro-Wrestling, but also entrance themes from NOAH and Big Japan Pro Wrestling are included—so if you love pro wrestling, be sure to check them out!

Kazuchika Okada, the Rainmaker, the face of New Japan.

Despite having an exceptionally large frame for a Japanese wrestler, he pulls off high-elevation dropkicks and moves swiftly on the ropes—an active top wrestler who churns out classic matches thanks to his incredible athleticism.

And when it comes to his theme song, it’s “RAIN MAKER.” This track has been used since he returned as the Rainmaker after his training stint in TNA.

Beginning with the sound of a coin dropping, the song shines not only for his standard entrance but also makes a huge impact during run-in moments when he rushes in to save the day.

In conclusion

This time, we focused on pro-wrestling entrance themes and introduced a variety of tracks.

I imagine many of the older wrestlers’ entrance songs sounded familiar to you.

Back in the day, there were lots of distinctive tunes—for better or worse—but recently, because many promotions use in-house composers, I feel like the songs line up as uniformly cool.

At Rug Music, we also feature entrance themes from overseas promotions, so be sure to check those out as well.
