Japan is one of the world’s leading pro wrestling nations, and Japanese wrestlers attract global attention.

One of the cultural pillars that supports pro wrestling is the entrance theme.

However, there’s a major drawback: information about pro wrestling entrance themes is very limited.

From the latest tracks to classic themes of yesteryear, we’ve got a wide selection!

Not only from New Japan Pro-Wrestling, but also entrance themes from NOAH and Big Japan Pro Wrestling are included—so if you love pro wrestling, be sure to check them out!

When you think of pro wrestling entrance themes, I bet many of you think of this song.

Power Hall, famous as Riki Choshu’s entrance music.

It’s a familiar tune because it’s used across so many forms of media.

In fact, the song was composed by Susumu Hirasawa.

Back then, Choshu apparently asked Hirasawa to “make a song like YMO,” and there’s a story that Hirasawa, inwardly annoyed and thinking “Then ask YMO,” composed it anyway (lol).

Minoru Suzuki’s entrance theme, “Kaze ni Nare ~I have to be a lonely warrior, tonight~,” is sung by Ayumi Nakamura, the singer who rose to fame with “Tsubasa no Oreta Angel.” As it turns out, Suzuki has been a longtime fan of Nakamura, and this song was reportedly composed just for him.

It’s also popular among overseas pro-wrestling fans; when Suzuki enters the ring on international tours, foreign audiences often sing along to it.

100% VoltageHigedoraibā

On August 16, 2021, pro wrestler SHO parted ways with his then-tag partner YOH.

A singles match between SHO and YOH was held on September 4 of the same year, and after SHO’s victory he shocked fans with a surprising heel turn by joining BULLET CLUB.

A junior heavyweight capable of showcasing a wide range of styles, he has won considerable popularity.

His entrance theme, “100% Voltage,” features a distinctive sound crafted as an homage to video game music.

Professional wrestler SANADA, who has gained popularity as a member of Los Ingobernables de Japon, has a wrestling style that closely resembles that of Tatsumi Fujinami, focusing primarily on attacks to the lower back.

He also boasts exceptional athleticism and a strong natural sense for pro wrestling, earning high praise from hardcore fans.

His entrance theme is “Cold Skeleton,” a sound that perfectly matches SANADA’s stylish image—be sure to check it out.

Tetsuya Naito is a wrestler who supports today’s New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

In his younger days, while his technical skills were top-tier, his performance style had issues and he struggled to gain widespread popularity.

However, after a 2015 excursion to Mexico, he radically changed his character, formed the unit Los Ingobernables de Japon, and—taking a stance that was neither heel nor face—quickly became the face of the promotion and won over the fans.

“STARDUST” is a famous theme song that Naito has used for many years.

KENTA, who joined New Japan Pro-Wrestling as a free agent after leaving WWE, has garnered popularity since turning heel thanks to his top-tier mic work in Japan and his backstage performances.

His entrance theme is “Cicatriz.” Although he’s recently become extremely popular due to his high-level performances, his role is still technically that of a heel (lol), so the track has a dark vibe to match that image.

Chances are, everyone has heard the entrance theme “Fighter of Fire: INOKI BOM-BA-YE” at least once.

It’s Antonio Inoki’s entrance music.

Younger people might not know this, but the song was originally used by boxer Muhammad Ali in his own film.

As thanks for the Inoki vs.

Ali bout, Ali is said to have gifted the song to Inoki, and Antonio Inoki has used it ever since.

By the way, “BOM-BA-YE” carries meanings like “Do it!” or “Knock him out!”
