Idol Song Rankings [2026]

It’s interesting how idols keep diversifying as times change, isn’t it?

The trend has shifted from the past, and idol songs have spread even among people who used to have nothing to do with idols.

Now they’ve become popular music listened to by many.

This time, I’d like to introduce a ranking of idol songs that have been widely listened to since the start of this year.

Idol Song Rankings [2026] (61–70)

DOPEBTS61rank/position

Among the tracks included in the first installment of the mini-album series, “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life pt.1,” the easiest to sing is especially “DOPE.” This song carries a message to listless young people, telling them to “enjoy life.” The lyrics are full of energy, so singing it is sure to lift your spirits.

Another appeal is its catchy, addictive lines that stick in your head.

As a result, it’s easy to memorize, and the steady rhythm makes it easy to sing.

I NEED UBTS62rank/position

I NEED UBTS

Released in South Korea in April 2015, this is a landmark track that earned them their first-ever No.

1 on a music show.

It’s a poignant song themed around love deteriorating toward its end, blending electro hip-hop with an urban style, and it was later released in Japan as their 5th single in a Japanese version.

The track itself runs 3 minutes and 33 seconds, and the powerful falsetto in the chorus heightens the sense of heartbreak.

Since there’s a lot of call-and-response, I think it would look cool to sing it with someone rather than solo.

The melody line is simple, so the rhythm isn’t too difficult and it should be easy to sing! Try feeling the timing with your body as you sing.

Double Double FIGHT!CANDY TUNE63rank/position

If there’s an anthem that gives you the courage to get back up again and again, it’s this one.

Its melody overflows with forward-looking energy.

The song centers on the importance of saving your past self and learning to love your true self, while also portraying the struggle of wanting to be yourself without worrying about others’ opinions.

Released in April 2024 and produced by music producer Tamaya 2060%, it became a huge hit, topping TikTok’s music chart and later being included on the debut album released in October 2025.

It’s the perfect track for when you’re stuck at work or studying, or when you need a push to try again.

Add it to your playlist whenever you need a boost.

Real FaceKAT-TUN64rank/position

KAT-TUN’s debut single “Real Face,” released in 2006.

With lyrics by Shikao Suga and composition by Takahiro Matsumoto from B’z, it’s an astonishing lineup that makes the song feel fresh.

Beyond the members’ charisma, the shock of that time is unforgettable! Its youthful, thrill-seeking aggression is super cool, and it really fires up the crowd at karaoke! If you can nail the iconic opening line and the tongue click, it’ll boost the cool factor even more.

DynamiteBTS65rank/position

If you’re a beginner at wotagei, you probably want a bit of impact beyond just showing your moves, right? In terms of impactful song choice, BTS’s “Dynamite” might be a perfect pick.

Released digitally in 2020, it’s a BTS single sung entirely in English that became a hot topic around the world.

Thanks to its high recognition, it could be well-suited for performing wotagei at weddings or in front of audiences spanning a wide range of ages.

Combining dance with wotagei—dancing while doing wotagei—also looks really cool!

It feels like I'm not myself.SixTONES

The title track of the group’s 4th single, released in February 2021 as the theme song for the film “Liar x Liar,” in which member Hokuto Matsumura co-starred with Nana Mori.

Also included on the album “CITY,” this song is notable for its lyrics that capture the frustration of having your rhythm thrown off by love.

In contrast to their previously wild image, its band sound blends freshness with bittersweetness, giving it a new, radiant shine.

The vocal range isn’t very wide, so it’s easy to try at karaoke, but switching to falsetto in the chorus is key—stay relaxed as you sing.

A stylish pop tune whose driving melody really hits home.

Save MEBTS67rank/position

Save ME (Japanese Ver.)
Save MEBTS

For those who want to sing a bittersweet love song, Save ME is also recommended.

It’s a track included on the album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever.

The title means “help me,” and while repeating that phrase, it expresses the desire to become lovers.

Since it’s a mellow song, singing it will give a calm impression.

However, note that there’s a key change in the middle where the song becomes more intense.

That said, the key is on the lower side, so that part should still be relatively easy to sing.

uraomote (meaning ‘two-faced’ or ‘having a public and a private side’)Hey! Say! JUMP68rank/position

Hey! Say! JUMP is a boys’ idol group that debuted in 2007 with “Ultra Music Power.” Their song “Uraomote” is a dance-pop track that served as the theme song for the Fuji TV serial drama “My Dearest Self with Malice Aforethought,” which began airing in 2022 and stars Ryosuke Yamada.

Just before the chorus, there’s a moment where the entire track goes quiet and the sound of a ticking second hand rings out, then it plunges straight into an irresistibly catchy hook.

In the chorus, the melody features distinctive chromatic lines that become increasingly addictive as you listen!

Come On A My HouseHey! Say! JUMP

A standout track with a bright, poppy melody and warm lyrics.

It playfully expresses a straightforward desire to invite a woman he likes over to his place.

Its charm lies in wordplay that puns on “karei” (splendid) and “karee” (curry), along with a danceable rhythm that gets crowds excited at live shows.

Released as a single by Hey! Say! JUMP in June 2013, it was used in a commercial for House Foods’ Vermont Curry.

The group performed it as the opening act for the White Team at the 2017 NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen, drawing attention with a dazzling stage.

It’s perfect for when you need a boost of energy or want to liven up a party.

The karaoke range is comfortable for both men and women, the choreography is easy to mimic, and it’s a song everyone can enjoy together.

encoreHey! Say! JUMP

Hey! Say! JUMP’s “encore” captivates with its dramatic concept of “adjacent worldlines.” Despite its fresh, trendy sound, it’s a “parallel love song” whose aching longing for someone dear presses close to the heart.

Kei Inoo handles both the opening and the ending lines, and his emotive delivery—he himself said “the character’s sorrow came through in my voice”—is especially compelling.

Released in May 2025 as their 35th single, it was chosen as the theme song for the drama “Parallel Couple: The Truth of the ‘Me and My Wife’ Who Died.” This release extended their streak to 35 consecutive No.

1s on the Oricon weekly chart.

It’s a song that gently keeps you company on slightly sentimental nights or in moments when you’re thinking of someone important.
