Minami Jōnans’ name is difficult to read.
It’s read as Kizuki Minami.
She debuted in 2009 with “Aitsumugi,” and was featured in a segment of the well-known Kansai TV program “Chichin Puipui,” which introduces one song each month by artists active in western Japan.
With a uniquely clear voice colored by the vibrato of Amami folk singing from her home, Amami Oshima, she has released not only original songs but also numerous covers.
In 2018, her music was used as an insert song in the Taiga drama “Segodon,” as well as for the Taiga Travelogue that airs during the ending.
