A piano suite composed by Schumann between 1834 and 1835.

Consisting of 21 pieces depicting various characters at a carnival masquerade, it is known as one of Schumann’s major early works.

Though each piece is brief, they are captivating works that convey Schumann’s creativity and originality.

Several orchestral arrangements exist, and it was even staged as a ballet in 1910.

It’s a highly recommended piece not only for piano enthusiasts, but also for anyone who wants to experience Schumann’s musical world.
