Bonfirethe HIATUS

This is a track included on the 5th album, “Hands Of Gravity.” The music video features all the members wearing suits! The rhythm is fantastic and draws you into a world of sound.

The transition from piano to drums is exquisite—you’re sure to be captivated.

Deerhoundsthe HIATUS9rank/position

This song is included on the 3rd album, “A World Of Pandemonium.” The music video is cute! It gave me the impression of a track that makes you want to set off on an adventure—like something you’d hear in an adventure-themed anime.

Ghost In The Rainthe HIATUS10rank/position

This is a track included on the 1st album, “Trash We’d Love.” The song is about a “shut-in crushed by despair,” and its content is meant to give hope to “him.” Whenever I listen to the HIATUS, I often think that the person who serves as the motif for their songs might, perhaps, be Takeshi Hosomi himself.

[Tried Performing] Shimmer (Acoustic Ver.) / the HIATUS
Shimmerthe HIATUS

This is a song included on the HIATUS’s 3rd album, “A World Of Pandemonium.” It has a calm melody with beautiful piano tones.

The lyrics are also very beautiful, as if to match the lovely melody, and it gave me the impression of not forgetting something that sparkles.

“Shimmer” also means to shine faintly, so I think it’s a perfect title.

This is a track included on the 3rd album, “A World Of Pandemonium.” The pop-style music video is adorable! The song itself is really cool, and it’s a standout that showcases Takeshi Hosomi of the HIATUS in a way you couldn’t hear during his ELLEGARDEN days.

Thirstthe HIATUS13rank/position

the HIATUS – Thirst(Music Video)
Thirstthe HIATUS

It’s a song included on the HIATUS’s 4th album, “Keeper Of The Flame.” If I had to sum up the theme of this track in a single phrase, I would say it’s about “a person shoved into solitude.” Looking at the full Japanese-to-English translation of the lyrics, I strongly feel the portrayal of a person who bears loneliness while still yearning for a glimmer of hope.

Antibioticthe HIATUS14rank/position

This is a track included on the HIATUS’s first EP, “Insomnia.” It has a very relaxed tempo.

When I translated the lyrics into Japanese, rather than feeling dark, it struck me as a song overflowing with “humanity.” It’s a track I want to listen to alone.
