Horse Ridingthe HIATUS1rank/position

Opening with a majestic acoustic guitar tone, this piece is a sweeping epic that feels as if it’s racing through the great currents of history.
The earnest wish to “break the cycle of repeated conflict and protect peaceful days” comes through vividly in both the music and the visuals.
Released in July 2013 by the HIATUS, this track is the title song of an EP that reached No.
10 on the Oricon charts.
The addition of new member Ichiyo Izawa enriches the sound with the timbre of piano.
Even as your heart aches at the world’s injustice, this song is sure to kindle a strong light within you as you take a step toward tomorrow.
Deerhoundsthe HIATUS2rank/position

This song is included on the 3rd album, “A World Of Pandemonium.” The music video is cute! It gave me the impression of a track that makes you want to set off on an adventure—like something you’d hear in an adventure-themed anime.
Unhurtthe HIATUS3rank/position

This is a track included on the HIATUS’s 4th album, “Keeper Of The Flame.” I think this is already a god-tier song! The lyrics are so wonderful that I wish it were sung in Japanese.
With a powerful and beautiful voice, it’s a song that truly makes you think, “This is Takeshi Hosomi.”
In the azure nightthe HIATUS4rank/position

This song, included on the first album by the HIATUS led by Takeshi Hosomi of ELLEGARDEN.
It’s a familiar number at live shows, but I think its lyrics and sense of speed make it perfect for traveling.
It’s the kind of song you’d want to listen to under a sky full of stars.
Bonfirethe HIATUS5rank/position

This is a track included on the 5th album, “Hands Of Gravity.” The music video features all the members wearing suits! The rhythm is fantastic and draws you into a world of sound.
The transition from piano to drums is exquisite—you’re sure to be captivated.
Something Ever Afterthe HIATUS6rank/position

This is a song included on the HIATUS’s 4th album, “Keeper Of The Flame.” I think it’s a breakup love song that leaves you feeling a bit wistful.
The final line of the lyrics feels very characteristic of Takeshi Hosomi, making it a quintessential track.
The Flarethe HIATUS7rank/position

This song is included on the first album, “Trash We’d Love.” The title “The Flare” literally means “flame” in Japanese, and in the song it’s depicted as something that clouds the eyes of “you” and “me.” True to Takeshi Hosomi’s style, it’s an encouraging anthem that refuses to be trapped by the “flare,” saying, “Let’s light it up and bring an end to the night.”
