Remioromen’s classic and popular songs

We’d like to introduce some songs by Remioromen, a band that became hugely popular thanks to drama theme songs and more.

Tracks like “Konayuki” and “March 9” are truly masterpieces filled with emotion that move listeners to the core.

As for the origin of the band’s name, “Remioromen,” it’s said the members connected words they came up with in the order they won at rock-paper-scissors.

“Remioromen” just has such a nice ring to it—you can’t help wanting to say it over and over (lol).

Now, please enjoy Remioromen’s songs with this playlist.

Remioromen’s Greatest and Most Popular Songs (1–10)

It’s the kind of song that makes the flames in my heart start blazing.

It’s the kind of music that makes me want to race through neon-lit streets at midnight, lifting my spirits like that.

I personally think it makes me feel this way because the song is packed with a resolve to live—“I will live, I want to live, I’m going to live.”

I thought this song also has truly wonderful and beautiful imagery.

The scenes come to mind, I imagine myself in those circumstances, and I naturally start to wonder what I would be thinking then—that’s the kind of song it is.

The title “Beer and Pudding” has a cozy, heartwarming feel to it, which I like.

Bud of DreamsRemioromen

It’s a deeply moving masterpiece.

Since it’s the theme song of a film, listening to it brings the movie’s scenes back to mind; the memories feel so fresh, and I was truly moved.

That feeling returns all over again.

The lyrics are very heartrending and sung in a straightforward way.

I think it’s a song that says, “I wish things like in this song would happen, but they don’t, do they?” Listening to this track, I remembered walking to and from my elementary school.

These days, going out in the rain just feels gloomy, but when I think back to those days, I remember that even within the gloom there was fun and a bit of sparkle.

World of AzureRemioromen

I thought the tone color sparkled.

I pictured a glitter like the spray that rises when you splash through a puddle in rubber boots after the rain.

I wondered what a blue world would be like, and as I thought about it while listening to this piece, I felt it might be a world that’s close at hand yet easy to overlook.

March 9Remioromen

One of the classic songs for the season of farewells.

It might not be so hidden if people call it a hidden gem, but it truly is a great song.

For me, it’s a song that decorates a page of my youth.

March 9th was the day of my middle school’s dismissal ceremony.

I remember doing our final run in the softball club while this song was playing.

Just recalling that scene makes me think, “That was youth.” It’s a song that’s like a treasure to me.

This piece, included as the B-side to Remioromen’s major-label debut single “Denwa,” released in August 2003, later appeared on the album Asagao and the best-of collection Remio Best, and is a fan favorite.

The lyrics, written from the perspective of a taxi driver cruising through the city at night, seem to reflect the emptiness and loneliness that drift through the urban landscape.

The slightly dry band sound and understated vocals blend beautifully with the crisp air of an autumn night.

It’s a rock tune that gently accompanies a heart a little weary from daily life—perfect for a pensive autumn evening.
