Remioromen’s classic and popular songs

We’d like to introduce some songs by Remioromen, a band that became hugely popular thanks to drama theme songs and more.

Tracks like “Konayuki” and “March 9” are truly masterpieces filled with emotion that move listeners to the core.

As for the origin of the band’s name, “Remioromen,” it’s said the members connected words they came up with in the order they won at rock-paper-scissors.

“Remioromen” just has such a nice ring to it—you can’t help wanting to say it over and over (lol).

Now, please enjoy Remioromen’s songs with this playlist.

Remioromen’s classic and popular songs (21–30)

It’s a very cool song that’s so characteristic of Fujimaki-san.

Surprisingly, all of his songs are tough to sing at karaoke, so the way he makes it look easy is incredible.

It feels very youthful, yet somehow nostalgic.

He just keeps getting better with age.

Early summer rainRemioromen

The rhythm in the intro made me shiver, like waves were beating against my heart, giving me goosebumps.

Whenever I listen, I always wonder who the “goodbye” in these lyrics is directed at.

My own answer is that maybe they’re saying goodbye to the rain, but I’m not certain.

It’s a song about wanting someone to think of me like this, and about wanting to think of someone else in the same way.

I’m not as good at loving or falling in love as other people, but if I could find someone with whom we can simply and truly say, “I really like you,” I think my life would be happy.

It’s the kind of song that makes you want to start running.

This is also a song full of memories for me, and like “March 9th,” it was the song that played when we left school in junior high.

It sparkles and feels dazzling.

That feeling is similar to how I remember my junior high days, so this song is like a treasure to me.

Taxi driverRemioromen

This piece, included as the B-side to Remioromen’s major-label debut single “Denwa,” released in August 2003, later appeared on the album Asagao and the best-of collection Remio Best, and is a fan favorite.

The lyrics, written from the perspective of a taxi driver cruising through the city at night, seem to reflect the emptiness and loneliness that drift through the urban landscape.

The slightly dry band sound and understated vocals blend beautifully with the crisp air of an autumn night.

It’s a rock tune that gently accompanies a heart a little weary from daily life—perfect for a pensive autumn evening.

The melody is great, and the overall vibe has a cool, rock-style beat.

The bass sounds really good, too.

Remioromen is often associated with ballads, but I love songs like this as well.

My friends and I often sing it together at karaoke.

New Year’s Eve SongRemioromen

When I listen to this song, I feel a kind of sadness.

I wondered why, and I realized it might be because the end of the year is inherently lonely.

After all, the fun times, the sad times, the same days, the same year—none of them will ever come again.

Listening to this song, I feel the miracle and beauty of those fleeting days.
