This is a song by singer-songwriter Aeka, deeply loved by local residents as the anthem of Kasukabe City.
It was created based on memories collected from 1,609 elementary and junior high school students in the city, and it not only depicts scenes like the park bridge where cherry blossoms dance and the Furutone River, but also highlights the warmth of one’s hometown that supports you in difficult times.
The track is included on the album “Ashita Hareru kana,” released in November 2015.
Since October 2017, it has also been broadcast citywide as the chime for the municipal disaster-prevention radio system, becoming widely familiar to residents.
It’s likely to gently embrace not only those from Kasukabe, but anyone who feels nostalgic for their hometown.
Happy☆Happy TrainChichibu Tetsudō Kōshiki Ensen Chiiki Ōen Songu

With its acoustic, approachable melody that perfectly matches the tranquil scenery along the Chichibu Railway line, this heartwarming anthem offers a sense of encouragement.
The lively voices of children add to the effect, making it feel as though the entire community is singing about hope for the future.
Released in July 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the song was produced as a support anthem for the areas along the Chichibu Railway.
Another highlight is the music video, which features many local figures and characters, including Tahei Hayashiya and Fukka-chan.
For those living away from their hometown, listening to this song will surely bring back memories of local warmth and fill them with a gentle, comforting feeling.
The steam of nostalgia ~SL memory song~Chichibu Tetsudou Koushiki Orijinaru Songu

As the first official song of the Chichibu Railway, this piece is performed by the jazz group Jin Mirai.
The nostalgic melody carried by the alto saxophone blends beautifully with the romance of a steam locomotive journey.
The lyrics were written by Suehiro Mochida, the Deputy Mayor of Chichibu City, and feature a unique touch that conveys deep affection for the railway line: the initial letters of the station names from Hanyu Station to Mitsumineguchi Station are woven into the lyrics.
Created in June 2018 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the SL Paleo Express, the song also serves as the ending theme for the film “Chako no Ekiin Monogatari.” Listening to it while swaying on the train will surely make the passing scenery outside the window all the more evocative.
Kapakapa! Shiki Cityishida yousuke

This is a humor-filled, hometown-loving song created as a cheer anthem for Shiki City’s official mascot, Kapal.
It was produced by Yosuke Ishida, known as the “Emperor of Local Mascot Songs.” The pop-rock sound—perfect for getting the crowd united at live shows—aligns perfectly with Kapal’s cheerful personality.

After Kapal won first place at the 2018 Yuru-Chara Grand Prix, this song also became beloved by many fans.

Overflowing with love for Saitama, this work is a hometown-proud dance tune by Hanawa! Included on the double A-side single released in November 2023, it blossomed as the theme song for the film “Fly Me to the Saitama: From Lake Biwa with Love.” Interweaving Saitama’s local specialties and landmarks, it strikingly proclaims pride in Saitama while overcoming prejudices like “plain” or “uncool.” It’s a recommended track not only for Saitama residents but also for anyone who wants to learn more about the prefecture.

This is “Omiya no Star” by Hayato Sasaki, a song about the area around Omiya Station.
It seems to be gradually gaining popularity among locals, and I’ve heard some people even sing it at karaoke in snack bars near Omiya Station.
