Two Rubber Bands Penetration Magic

Audience-participation magic really gets people excited, doesn’t it? One trick I highly recommend is the rubber band penetration.
You put two rubber bands of different colors on your fingers, hold them out, and when someone rubs them around, they seem to pass through each other.
The secret is actually set up when you first place the rubber bands on your fingers, and you make it look like they penetrate at the moment they’re being rubbed.
Since the way you put them on is a bit complex, watch a video and practice repeatedly.
The key is to get them on quickly so your spectator doesn’t notice.
Revival of the newspaper

There’s a trick you often see on TV or at magic shows where a torn piece of paper is restored to its original state.
Let me introduce that magic trick.
Prepare two sheets of newspaper: one to tear, and the other to bring out later.
Attach a wire to the one you’ll produce later in advance.
Then hide the wired newspaper inside the opened newspaper, and after tearing the visible one, tuck the torn section into the wire, and unfold the newspaper.
The torn part gets concealed, making it look as if it has been restored.
A simple mentalism-style number-guessing trick

It’s cool when you can read someone’s thoughts and guess them, right? This is called mentalism, and mastering it isn’t easy, but you can quickly learn a number-guessing trick with a mentalism vibe.
First, have the spectator think of any number from 1 to 10.
Next, ask them to double the number, then add 10, and divide by 2.
Finally, have them subtract the original number from the result.
Now you just name the number.
In fact, no matter which number they choose, the answer will be 5.
When you rub the rubber band, it disappears in an instant.

It’s a magic trick where you stretch a rubber band between both hands and knead it in the middle, and then the rubber band seems to vanish from your hands.
The secret is simple: you wear another rubber band of the same color on one wrist and just return the band there.
Hook the rubber band with a finger, make it look like you’re pinching it with both hands, then release the hooked finger and slowly guide the band back to the bundle of rubber bands on your wrist.
If the position of the wrist bands shifts, it will feel off, so try to pull from a spot as close to the bundle as possible.
It’s also important to transition smoothly from the stretching motion to the vanish so attention isn’t drawn to the small details.
A mysterious box where sweets disappear

When you put a Pocky box into a black box…
the Pocky box mysteriously disappears.
It vanishes in an instant even though you only placed it inside, so it leaves a strong impression.
You can perform this trick by preparing the box in advance.
The key is that the Pocky box only has four faces—the front, both sides, and the top—and on the back, the same cardboard as the black box is attached.
Once you’re ready, perform it while paying attention to angles so your audience doesn’t notice the gimmick on the Pocky box.
With a bit of creativity, you can also make the Pocky box disappear and have something else appear, so give it a try.
Magic that turns water into ice instantly

This is a magic trick where you pour water into a paper cup, cast a spell, and amazingly, ice comes out.
It looks like the water froze instantly, which is surprising, but with a simple setup, anyone can perform it.
The setup is just to stuff tissues into the paper cup, secure them with tape, and place ice on top.
In other words, the water you pour gets absorbed by the tissues, so when you tilt the cup, only the ice comes out.
Be careful not to show the inside of the cup, or the secret will be revealed.
Decoy boat

This is a participatory magic trick featuring a mysterious effect using an origami boat.
First, the magician asks a spectator to pinch the boat’s sail and close their eyes for a moment.
After casting a spell and asking them to open their eyes… somehow, even though they should have been holding the sail, they’re now holding the tip of the boat.
The secret is that while the spectator’s eyes are closed, the magician changes the creases of the origami boat.
This uses a type of origami called a “trick boat,” and once you make it, you can perform it over and over—so give it a try!
