[For Kids] Popular Party Games: Fun, Exciting Games (11–20)
Trump: “Doubt.”

A classic party game: playing cards.
Among them, let’s try “Cheat” (also known as “BS”)—a simple game that can go on and on! Deal the cards to all players, then take turns playing cards face down while announcing numbers in order from 1 to 13.
Because the cards are face down, no one can be sure the announced number matches the card.
If you think someone played a different number, call “Doubt!” If they did play a different number, the person who played must take all the cards in the pile.
If they actually played the correct number, the caller was wrong and must take all the cards in the pile.
The first player to get rid of all their cards—while bluffing skillfully—wins.
Speaking of 〇〇, games.

It’s the “When you think of ___” game that you can play with just paper and a pen, without worrying about the number of players.
For example, if the prompt is “When you think of a warm drink?”, the answers might be… coffee, tea, or maybe miso soup? Everyone comes up with different answers, right? The goal is to match answers by giving the most common one.
I said you don’t have to worry about the number of players, but the more people there are, the harder it becomes to match answers.
That’s also what makes the game fun.
Do-Re-Mi Song Game

“Do-Re-Mi” is a famous song everyone knows, and here’s a fun game that uses it.
The song is easy if you sing the notes in order starting from Do, but it gets confusing when you change the order.
This game makes use of that difficulty.
The singer is told which note’s lyric to sing next.
If they successfully sing the lyric for the chosen note, they then tell the next person which note’s lyric to sing.
Be careful—you’ll likely sing the wrong lyric unless you’re really focused.
It’s also fun to keep increasing the tempo.
Forehead Biscuit

This game is a success if you balance a biscuit on your forehead, move it without using your hands, and manage to get it to your mouth to eat it! Everyone will probably try their hardest because they want that biscuit, right? (lol) Since you can’t use your hands, you work your facial muscles and inch it closer to your mouth.
If it falls to the floor, you start again from the forehead.
Because you’re tilting your head back to keep the biscuit from falling and straining your facial muscles, it’s hilarious to watch—an uproarious funny-face game.
Drawing Telephone Game

One game that has long been popular among children is the telephone game.
How about this game as a further evolution of that? The first person looks at a prompt and draws a picture based on it, and then each subsequent player draws a picture while looking only at the previous person’s drawing.
If the final drawing matches the original prompt, you win.
It’s a fun game that requires not only drawing ability but also communication skills and imagination.
It’s recommended because even young children can enjoy it.
On the Run

Run for Money is a popular TV show in which contestants try to avoid being caught by Hunters within a limited area, earning prize money based on how long they can keep running.
Games modeled after this show are popular at schools, daycare centers, and kindergartens.
Having adults play the Hunters tends to work well.
For children, the experience of continuously running away in a familiar, seemingly unchanging place is exciting and can become an unforgettable memory.
Guess-the-Flavor Game

When it comes to parties, snacks are a must, right? Kids love snacks.
How about trying a game that uses those snacks: a “taste test” game? For example, potato chips—there are so many varieties nowadays.
Not only different brands, but even the same brand has various flavors.
You put on a blindfold, take a single bite, and try to guess which brand and flavor it is.
If it’s a favorite snack, it’s sure to get everyone excited.
It would probably be a hit with gummies or gum, too.
One-Letter-Each Quiz

This is the popular “one-letter-per-person” quiz often seen on TV quiz shows.
The fun part is that you can only get it right if everyone imagines the same answer.
The video shows it with five people, but try it with any number you like—four, six, and so on.
It may get harder as the number increases.
First, gather and structure quizzes whose answer lengths match the number of participants.
The order in which respondents go may also affect the outcome.
All you need to prepare is a whiteboard and markers.
Sticky Game

This is Sticky Game, a simple game from Germany.
First, bundle sticks of various colors with the included ring.
Roll the die and pull out a stick of the indicated color.
It’s easy at first, but as the number of sticks decreases, the balance becomes precarious, and whoever knocks it over loses.
Because the game depends on luck and timing, kids can beat adults, and people who are usually good at games can suffer a losing streak.
Play with the mindset of enjoying the mishaps, too.
Bingo game

When it comes to parties, you can’t go wrong with a bingo game—it’s guaranteed to get everyone excited! If a number on the ball drawn from the bingo machine matches one on your card, you punch a hole in that spot, and when you complete a line vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, you shout “Bingo!” If you’re the one who gets bingo, you might even win a fabulous prize! That heart-pounding excitement is irresistible, isn’t it?
