We’d like to introduce songs by SKE48, a sister group of the nationally popular idol group AKB48.
While AKB48 is based in Akihabara, SKE48 operates out of Sakae in Nagoya.
They’re known for sharp dance moves and high-energy live performances.
They also embrace community contribution as one of their themes, engaging in volunteer activities such as cleaning efforts in their home base of Sakae.
Please enjoy SKE48’s music, closely connected to their local community.

SKE48’s Classic and Popular Songs (1–10)
Unrequited Love, FinallySKE48

In terms of being sensational, this is the first song I’d recommend to someone who doesn’t know SKE.
The dance performed in tight spaces that’s typical of SKE, the burgundy sailor uniforms that stand out because many members have fair skin, the shocking kiss scene, and that unique SKE blend of translucence and fragility.
Wolf and PrideSKE48

Many SKE48 songs feature lyrics that reflect the members’ emotions.
This piece, performed in Team S’s 3rd Stage “Seifuku no Me” (Uniform Sprout), is one of them.
It symbolically expresses a woman’s pride and assertiveness in love, portraying the desire to be treated as someone special and the frustration toward a partner’s passive attitude.
A fan favorite performed 244 times between October 2009 and July 2013, it also ranked No.
1 for two consecutive years at SKE48’s Request Hour.
Its energetic melody and relatable lyrics clearly resonated with fans.
It’s a song I recommend to women struggling with matters of the heart.
EscapeSKE48

A coupling track from “Suzukake Nanchara,” the single where Jurina won center through rock-paper-scissors.
Given that Jurina is SKE’s absolute center, it’s only natural—but it’s almost too good to be just a coupling track.
The highlight is Rion Azuma’s keyboard.
SKE oshi (SKE favorite/bias)SKE48

When you’re vaguely interested or want to get to know the members, this SKE-oshi is really handy.
I hope this will make you interested in Masanya, who introduces herself first, and also get you curious about Nannan—and be amazed by her academic background.
Pareo is emerald.SKE48

This song always gets a great response when I sing it at karaoke in front of friends.
If you want to spread the word about SKE, I recommend playing this song together with Kataomoi Finally, both with video.
It’s brimming with the refreshing charm that SKE, the standout of the 48 Group for their breezy vibe, is known for.
Take me to WimbledonSKE48

It’s not just about the sporty vibe.
Of course, we haven’t forgotten the classic idol cuteness either.
This song best showcases the innate talent plus effort-driven idol qualities of these three—Yuria, Kuumin, and Dasu.
If Kuumin sang it to me, I might even start playing tennis.
Slave to chocolateSKE48

It’s a song by SKE48 that’s well known as a Valentine’s Day staple.
The curious title, “Slave of Chocolate,” is enough to pique many people’s interest, isn’t it? As the tagline “I’d have taken even an obligatory one” suggests, it vividly portrays a boy’s longing to receive chocolate from the girl he likes.
Released in January 2013 as their 11th single, it debuted at No.
1 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart and posted an astonishing first-week sales figure of about 539,000 copies.
The song was also used as the ending theme for TBS’s “Tsubokko Musume.” With Valentine’s Day coming up, don’t you feel a little flutter wondering what kind of chocolate you might get?
