Butterflies made with round stickers

Here’s a spring-like butterfly you can make using round stickers.
Prepare in advance the round stickers, felt-tip pens, pipe cleaners, pre-cut butterfly wings, and pre-cut butterfly faces.
Start by decorating the butterfly wings with round stickers to create patterns.
It’s recommended to use a variety of colors for the stickers.
For the butterfly’s face, have them draw the eyes and mouth with felt-tip pens.
Attach a pipe cleaner to the butterfly’s head and curl the tips—that’s it! You’re done.
You might also like to stick them on the wall and add spring flowers around them for a soft, spring-themed display.
[Scribble] Butterfly
![[Scribble] Butterfly](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/7171h857QvM/sddefault.jpg)
Here’s a craft idea for making butterflies using sheets of drawing paper scribbled on by children.
First, prepare a large sheet of construction paper.
Any color is fine, but a light color that makes crayon marks stand out works best.
Once you’ve chosen the paper, let the children scribble freely.
When they’re done, an adult should cut the paper into butterfly shapes with scissors, using areas with as much drawing as possible.
Finally, attach antennae made from pipe cleaners, and you’re done.
Display them on a wall to enjoy a springtime atmosphere.
[Cotton Swab Stamps] Rapeseed Blossoms
![[Cotton Swab Stamps] Rapeseed Blossoms](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/exEQ3ofBr2g/sddefault.jpg)
Let me show you a craft for making rapeseed blossoms using cotton swab stamps.
First, prepare six cotton swabs and bundle them together with a rubber band.
Shape the cotton swabs like a flower, dip them in paint, and have the children stamp them onto construction paper with a light tapping motion.
And just like that, the blossoms are done! Pre-cut the construction paper into the shape of rapeseed flowers, and attach a stem and leaves beforehand.
You can also put double-sided tape on the leaves so the children can stick them on themselves.
Make several of these and display them on the wall to create a handmade field of rapeseed flowers.
Spring snack making

Here’s a spring snack-making craft activity.
Prepare construction paper, paint, tissue paper, pastel crayons, and paper cups to make a delicious-looking strawberry cake.
Paint the paper cup to use it as the cake base.
Tear, crumple, and glue the tissue paper to look like cream.
Add strawberries made from construction paper to finish! Gluing the tissue paper with some volume gives it a three-dimensional look, making it resemble a real cake.
Cutting and gluing can also be good practice for using glue and scissors!
Torn-paper collage: Cherry tree

Let’s enjoy making a torn-paper cherry blossom collage.
For this craft, you’ll need white drawing paper, pink tissue paper, glue, and crayons.
First, draw the trunk of a cherry tree on the paper and color it with a brown crayon.
Next, tear the tissue paper into small pieces.
Apply liquid glue to the white areas of the paper, then stick the tissue paper on top to finish.
You can scatter the tissue paper pieces, or roll them up before sticking them on for a soft, cute look.
Preparing about two shades of pink tissue paper will make the final result more vibrant.

Movable dandelion doll

Let’s make something with familiar materials! I’ll show you an idea for a movable dandelion doll.
You’ll need a straw, two yellow food cups, a craft paper cup, decorative materials like stickers, craft glue, felt, and round stickers or construction paper.
First, punch a hole in a food cup and insert a straw with slits cut into its tip.
Draw a face on a round sticker or a piece of construction paper and stick it in the center of the flower.
Decorate the craft paper cup, make a hole, and insert the straw—then it’s done.
Adding felt leaves makes it even cuter.
Ants’ Errand
Here’s a craft project featuring the familiar “Ant’s Errand” from the song.
Prepare black construction paper and crayons, and let’s get started.
Have the children draw pictures on the construction paper using crayons.
When cutting out the ant’s parts from the paper, the key is to cut from the areas where the children’s drawings are.
Once all the parts are glued onto the base sheet, stick on round stickers for the eyes, add a mouth cut from construction paper, and it’s complete! Adding stickers or torn origami around it gives it a warm, handmade feel—highly recommended.
