This is a spring-themed song by Aobozu, a band that has been a driving force in the Japanese rock scene since their major debut in 2004.

For those who were listening when it was released in 2006, many might still find that just hearing it instantly brings back memories from that time.

The straightforward, expansive melody line, the no-frills rock sound and arrangement, and vocalist Hozzy’s fresh, clear voice all come together perfectly to create a mood that’s just right for spring.

cherrysupittsu

Spitz is a four-piece rock band whose trademark is an unforgettable, striking high-tone voice you can’t forget after a single listen.

Their 13th single, “Cherry,” became a massive hit that cemented Spitz’s popularity, achieving million-seller status despite having no commercial tie-in.

Its buoyant, airy melody riding on a light shuffle beat perfectly evokes the warm atmosphere of spring.

Since its release, it has been covered by numerous musicians and stands as a quintessential spring pop tune representing the 1990s J-pop scene.

With its disco beat and nostalgic, Japanese-style melody, Ouka Ranman is a track by the four-piece rock band KEYTALK, who are based in Shimokitazawa, the hub of indie rock.

It was released in 2015 and was used as a theme song for the anime RIN-NE.

Spring means cherry blossoms, of course—and this is a stylish, understated song that evokes a flurry of falling petals.

From the word choice to the melody and guitar riffs, the band is committed to the sakura motif, making it easy to slip right into the song’s world.

When it comes to flumpool’s spring songs, “Hana ni Nare” is the one.

It’s a track where the orchestral and rock band sounds blend beautifully.

The vocals are incredibly cool, and the way it starts gently and then gradually accelerates into a dramatic climax is moving.

Listen to this song in the season of blooming flowers and let it evoke something personal in you!

spring breezeD.W. Nikoruzu

This is a song released in 2010 by the band D.W.

Nichols, who began their activities in 2005.

It’s a track that perfectly captures the fresh, breezy feeling suggested by its title, “Harukaze” (Spring Breeze)! The lyrics evoke memories of school life and depict what feels like the final homeroom of a student’s days, and as you listen, a poignant sense of graduation’s loneliness wells up.

At the same time, the song’s gentle atmosphere is reminiscent of the cheerful warmth of spring, leaving you with a calm, peaceful feeling as you listen.

In just five short months after forming, they landed a slot at SUMMER SONIC and were also selected to join 04 Limited Sazabys on tour, solidifying their momentum as a girls’ rock band.

In January 2024, they signed with PIZZA OF DEATH, headed by their idol Ken Yokoyama of Hi-STANDARD, and made their major-label debut with the album “Kakugo o Kimero!” Their music—singing of inner thrills and frustrations, as well as gratitude toward loved ones, set to melodies that evoke a sense of nostalgia—captures the hearts of many with its pure emotion and powerful performance.
