To fully bring out our abilities, we sometimes put ourselves under a kind of self-suggestion, right? Before a match we absolutely don’t want to lose, we tell ourselves there isn’t a single factor that could make us lose.
If shouting loudly, “There is zero chance we’ll lose!” helps us perform at 100%, that already brings us one step closer to victory.
The caller should gradually raise the entire team’s motivation and, at its peak, call out “Chance of losing!” Everyone else, taking that as the cue, shouts back in unison, “Absolutely none!” With that, we’re perfectly ready to face the match.

Before important club matches or events like the school sports festival where the whole class comes together, you need a short, uplifting chant that gets everyone fired up.
Using a well-known song title or lyrics that everyone recognizes could be a great idea.
In the chant I introduced, they shout the title of DREAMS COME TRUE’s “Ureshii! Tanoshii! Daisuki!” It’s a classic that many people know, and the three catchy words give it a great rhythm—highly recommended.

If you’re planning to win today, could you raise your hand?” Then they break into a quirky dance to fire everyone up.
The performance draws in not only teammates but also the crowd, easing the tense atmosphere before the match.

It begins with the idea that no matter how good their record has been, they won’t rest on their laurels and will always play with the mindset of challengers.
Then, like a call-and-response, they fire themselves up: because they’ve worked the hardest in practice and everything else, they’ll take pride as they step onto the field.
At first, each player places a hand over their chest as if speaking to their own heart, and at the end they raise an arm with their index finger pointed up, expressing their determination to be number one.

The person who leads the chant in the team huddle holds a really important role.
They need to fire up their teammates, so they have to handle being put on the spot.
If the team’s energy is dipping, they have to bring it back up.
