Introducing songs starting with “Ta” from popular J-POP! (301–310)
Just one, always together as best friends.Amerika min’yō kenkyūkai

The glitched vocal part and the sound keep saturating… I’m captivated by the depth of the sound.
The track is by Haniwa from the American Folk Song Study Group and was released in June 2023.
The overall tone is very soft, but perhaps because of the many overlapping layers, it feels as if a vast current of emotion flows beneath it.
Pay attention to the development in the latter half of the song that grows out of a vocals-only phrase.
If you haven’t yet, be sure to experience the world of synthetic-voice poetry reading.
Time machineArisu Kyū Gō.

A song by the visual kei rock band Alice Nine, formed in 2004.
Included on their debut single “Namae wa, Mada Nahi,” it’s a track that leaves an impression with its airy guitar sound riding on a driving drum beat and a bass line that plays the root notes on the high frets.
Another highlight is how the B section and chorus switch to a half-time feel, creating a contrast with the brisk A section that makes the chorus stand out.
Blending both floating and fast-paced sensations, it’s a must-check track for fans of visual kei bands.

Tahiichiroku

It’s a mixture rock tune that kicks off with a hard guitar riff! The track is by Vocaloid producer Ichiroku and was released in June 2023.
It was submitted for the Vocarock posting festival.
Hatsune Miku’s razor-sharp vocals pair perfectly with the powerful sound.
The lyrics’ message—“Acknowledge your true self”—is seriously moving.
The dynamic development in the big chorus gives you chills.
It’s the perfect Vocaloid song for moments when you want to get fired up and ignite your heart, like right before an important match!
Catch sea breamOmede-tai atama de nani yori

Since their major debut in 2018, the band Omedetai Atama de Naniyori has delivered a wealth of unique tracks to Japan’s loud rock scene.
Their song “Tai Toru” is an irresistible number where heavy band sounds fuse with the timbres of traditional Japanese instruments.
With powerful shouts throughout, the fun, quirky, and cool sound will captivate you the more you listen, drawing you into its mysterious charm.
This high-energy track is also a guaranteed crowd-pleaser at karaoke!
I’ll eat you up!Gachapin (Yazawa Kunie)

This is a song performed by Gachapin, one of the most iconic characters from the Ponkikki series.
The lyrics were created based on submissions from the general public, and they read like a warning to children that “bad things will happen if you do bad things.” It became a topic of discussion for being overly scary.
The composition was handled by Takuro Yoshida, and its calm atmosphere—tinged with a sense of melancholy—is memorable.
It’s precisely because the sound is so gentle that the lyrics come through so clearly, which is another key point of this song.
justkuriipuhaipe

A song I especially want people who struggle to express their straightforward feelings to a loved one to hear is “Tada.” It was included in the 2017 collection “Mousugu Tsuku Kara Mattete Ne” by the rock band CreepHyp.
The lyrics, which honestly convey the feelings you can’t bring yourself to say precisely because you care, are irresistibly relatable.
Vocalist Seikaikan Ozaki’s passionate voice, perfectly matched with the rock band’s rhythmic performance, resonates in the heart.
It’s a tsundere-style song that teaches the importance of putting even a single word into language.
Please give this track, which stands close to your unadorned emotions, a listen.
travelerKetsumeishi

This song by Ketsumeishi conveys a warm atmosphere as it portrays feelings toward the endless journey of life.
Drawing on a worldview inspired by wandering townsfolk, the decision to read the title “Tabibito” as “Tabiudo” is a unique touch.
You can feel a calm yet wistful mood in the sound as it reflects an introspective dialogue with one’s own heart, evoking a sense of looking back on one’s life so far.
The lyrics, which reflect on the path taken and carry hope into the future, will likely resonate especially with generations who have accumulated a wealth of experiences.
