Who's your oshi? Roundup of popular underground idols and live idols (11–20)
WINGSukka

When it comes to the hidden gems of Stardust Promotion—the powerhouse idol agency behind groups like Momoiro Clover Z and Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku—ukka is the name to know.
They actually started out as “Sakura Ebis.” Originally launched as a trainee unit for Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, they’ve now grown into a fully independent and popular group.
Their track “WINGS” feels like a declaration of intent, a song about setting off toward tomorrow with a positive spirit.
I hope you’ll listen to it whenever you’re feeling uncertain about things close to home.
The idol scene keeps getting bigger and bigger.
I’ve got high hopes for ukka from here on out!
Blossom declaration!Nanarando

The idol group formerly known as “drop” changed their concept and relaunched as “Nanaland.” With the concept being “seven witches,” just hearing that makes you think, “Sounds fun!!” Their song “Kaika Sengen!” is a super high-energy track with a rock flavor pushed to the forefront—guaranteed to hype up any live show.
Also pay attention to how they shed Nanaland’s previous image with an explosive sense of freedom! The drama-style music video is a must-see, even if you’re not a fan.
double standardFirosofī no Dansu

Every idol group grows, but in the best possible way, the one I think has grown the most is this group: Philosophy no Dance.
From their sparkling youthful days to their more mature present, the radiance of their Japanese pop just keeps intensifying.
Double Standard is a track that shines solely with the coolness of pulling funk and R&B firmly into their own orbit.
The lyrics, which depict the give-and-take of adult romance, carry an air of refined sensuality.
I hope people will listen without dismissing them as “just idols.” It’s a recommendation that couldn’t be stronger—one perfect song.
Elephunk GardenErefanku niwa

It’s written as “エレファンク庭” but read as “Elefunk Garden.” Nickname: “Erega.” They’re a buzzworthy idol group produced by lyricist zopp, known for hit songs like “Seishun Amigo” and “Daite Señorita.” If you’re sharp, you might have guessed it: the name “Erega” comes from a coined word mixing “electric” and “funk.” Their track “Elefunk Garden,” which is almost like the group’s own introduction song, is a high-energy disco tune brimming with funk and soul.
The lyrics have a “let’s forget the bad stuff for now and just have fun” vibe that’s sure to lift your spirits! Other recommended songs include “Jimoto LOVE” and “Tatsu Tori Ato o Nigosé.”
Shine! Sunshine Muscatansuryūmu

Anthurium is charging straight down the royal road of idols.
If you’re an idol fan, you’ve probably debated at least once about who’s the cutest! That’s how cute every single member is.
Their concept is “Excitement and exhilaration to you,” and fans love how they show different expressions with each song.
Their track ‘Shine! Sunshine Muscat’ is packed with cuteness no matter which part you take.
I’d love to copy the chorus choreography and get hyped at a live show!
Brave SoulOsaka☆Shunkashuto

As their name suggests, Osaka☆Shunkashuto—nicknamed “Shukashun”—is an idol group that started out in Kansai.
Armed with powerful performances, they quickly rose to national prominence.
Any idol event featuring Shukashun is always packed.
Their song “Brave Soul” is like a collection of all the best things about Shukashun—truly a track “made just for Shukashun.” The rock-infused sound grabs your heart in an instant.
It’s a highly recommended song that gives hope to everyone who hears it, urging them to “hold on to courage!”

Niji no Conquistador is an indoor, pop-oriented idol group formed in 2014.
Building on an idol-pop foundation, they’ve gained popularity with songs that span a wide range of genres, from electropop to anime tunes.
Since their major-label debut in 2015, they’ve excelled at refreshing, upbeat summer tracks and have released them consistently.
They’ve also had numerous tie-ins with anime and games, including the ending theme for the anime “Action Heroine Cheer Fruits” and a collaboration song with “Love Live!
