SANABAGUN.

is a hip-hop group known for songs infused with jazz.

Bassist Hayata Kosugi and keyboardist Taihei Sakurauchi also perform as members of the rock band Suchmos.

Although the lyrics of this track are about putting everything aside and going to sleep, the song’s appeal lies in its brisk, catchy groove that contrasts with the theme.

Cigar StoreSHANK

SHANK is a three-piece rock band from Nagasaki.

Their appeal lies in their exhilarating songs that embody true melodic hardcore.

This track keeps you on your toes with a well-placed break that interrupts its trademark, fast-paced drive—creating dynamic contrast throughout.

Also, on a personal note, I really love the voice of Shohei Ihara (Vo./Ba.).

I got a girlfriend.SHISHAMO

In 2012, the all-girl high school band SHISHAMO burst onto the scene.

They quickly became hugely popular and now appear at a variety of festivals.

The lyrics penned by vocalist Miyazaki feel close to the younger generation and have earned strong support from their peers.

It looks like they’ll be the standard-bearers for girls’ bands for the foreseeable future.

SiM is a reggae-punk band leading Japan’s loud rock scene.

It was probably this song that instantly ignited their popularity.

Their striking visuals, exceptional melodies, and infectious energy make their success easy to understand.

At their shows, you’re immediately drawn into vocalist MAH’s world, and the way they captivate on stage is a major part of their appeal.
