On some days during the festival, attendees can move freely between the main space and the adjoining UNDERGROUND, making for an intense eight days of hopping between two stages. TOKYO M.A.P.S is an urban music program that J-WAVE and Roppongi Hills have been running since 2008, built on the concept of a map where Music, Art, and Performance intersect. It is held every year during Golden Week at Roppongi Hills Arena, with that year’s organizer welcoming a diverse lineup of artists. For this year’s edition in May 2026, STUTS serves as organizer, sketching a “crossroads of sound” in the heart of the city centered on hip-hop and jazz.

JAPAN JAM is a spring rock festival organized by rockin’on japan that brightens Chiba during Golden Week. The venue is Chiba City Soga Sports Park overlooking Tokyo Bay, featuring a spacious layout spread across multiple stages. Centered on Japanese rock, a wide range of artists—from the new generation to seasoned heavyweights—gather to deliver diverse live performances in an open-air setting. In 2026, it will be held over four days from May 2 to May 5.

A city-style music festival that has continued since 2014 as a rock fest symbolizing Saitama during Golden Week. For many years, it was held at Saitama Super Arena, combining indoor and outdoor stages, and has garnered support with a wide-ranging lineup centered on Japanese rock—from next-generation up-and-comers to major bands. In 2026, the venue will move to a special outdoor site around Saitama Stadium 2002, offering a four-day experience in an open-air early-summer setting.

“GRAND SLAM” is an urban circuit festival held over four days during Golden Week across Diamond Hall and SPADE BOX in Shinsakae, Nagoya. The name—evoking a bases-loaded home run in baseball and the four majors in tennis and golf—reflects a commitment to a schedule with no overlaps, allowing audiences to see every performer. Presented by Sunday Folk Promotion, it will take place in May 2026. For the first time, all-day passes and U-22 tickets will be offered, opening up the music experience to younger generations.

This is a student-led street live performance where high school light music clubs from across Shiga Prefecture gather at Otsu Station Front Park to showcase the results of their daily practice in the station-front space. Organized by the Keion Street LIVE Executive Committee and co-hosted by the Shiga Prefecture High School Cultural Federation Light Music Division, the event has continued in collaboration with Machizukuri Otsu. This time, as Vol. 18, a live performance of the Inter-High support song is also planned. Scheduled for May 2026, it offers a close-up chance to enjoy the regionally rooted high school band culture.
