Vocaloid songs that start with 'Ka'

The Vocaloid scene just keeps getting more and more exciting!

In addition to offline events held every year like “Magical Mirai,” the online event “The VOCALOID Collection,” commonly known as VocaColle, becomes a major topic of conversation every time it’s held.

There’s even a new term for younger Vocaloid fans: the “Vocaloid-native generation.”

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the world of synthesized vocals has taken root as a music genre in its own right.

Now then, what I’m going to introduce this time is Vocaloid songs that start with the letter “Ka” (か)!

I hope you discover some new music you’ll love!

KagoknotoriKomeda wara

A song by Komedawara, also known under the name “Cat Allergy,” released in 2019.

Sung over a waltz rhythm, it expresses the protagonist’s dark feeling of “leave me alone.” The message of the lyrics—written entirely in katakana—combined with a deliberately cheap-sounding production gives you chills.

Yet behind it all, you glimpse something like beauty.

It inevitably makes you think about the “heart.” Perfect for a night alone.

With an intro that evokes winter, this song is perfect for the cold season.

The vocals are easy on the ears, so even those who don’t usually listen to Vocaloid can enjoy it with ease.

It’s fun to think about what kind of “countdown” the title refers to as you listen.

Another highlight is the catchy melody.

It’s addictive, making you want to play it over and over.

It’s also a mysterious song that lets you feel the many different sides that exist within each person.

Among Vocaloid songs, ‘Virtual Citizen’ isn’t particularly fast-paced, making it perfect for karaoke.

The track was composed by JimmyThumb-P, known for hits like ‘from Y to Y’ and ‘No Logic.’ Its beautiful, jazz-like acoustic sound is really pleasant.

While the characteristically rapid-fire Vocaloid phrases might be a bit tricky for karaoke, the overall difficulty is otherwise pretty low.

The song structure is relatively simple too, so it’s recommended even for people who find Vocaloid songs hard to memorize!

Binge-Eating Idol SyndromeSuzumu

Binge-Eating Idol Syndrome / Suzumu feat. GUMI & MAYU
Binge-Eating Idol SyndromeSuzumu

It’s a song with striking lyrics that sarcastically portray a cocky male idol.

The tongue-twister-like parts are fun, and the stylish, cool sound is a big reason for its popularity.

That said, the ending depicts the idol’s downfall, which makes it feel a little unsettling to me.

Culture / tsumiki feat. Hatsune Miku

The YouTube channel “39ch” launched by Tsumiki.

The first song released there is “Culture.” It’s a rock-infused track with lyrics that pump listeners up and get them excited.

With its powerful and cool vibe, it’s sure to boost your energy if it plays during a competition.

As a side note, the song also features fun elements like an acrostic you can read vertically.

If you’re curious, be sure to look into that too.

The Skeleton Band and LiliaTōma

As you can guess from the title, it’s a lively Vocaloid track infused with an orchestral-style sound.

It’s a piece by Tohma, also known for songs like “Envy Cat Walk” and “Yankee Boy Yankee Girl,” released in 2011.

In any case, the tone and development are aggressive—the waves of sound surge in with rapid, ever-changing shifts.

You can enjoy interpreting the lyrics, but first, let the music take over and give it a careful listen.

Kankei Night Funky Nanahoshi Orchestra

It’s a funky track that makes you want to clap along.

It’s a piece by Nanahoshi Orchestra, also known under the name “Fujun Isei Kōyū P,” released in 2019.

The cool guitar riff and the pleasing feel of the melody are irresistible.

With a subtle retro vibe, it’s a mature-sounding Vocaloid song.

Maybe it’s the imagery from the lyrics, but it makes you feel like you’re in a nightclub at night.

This song is packed with all kinds of charm—be sure to give it a careful listen.
