ELO, the one-man band of Jeff Lynne, known as a Beatles maniac.

They’re an art rock group that incorporates strings, but they also released a few disco-sounding tracks to ride the boom.

“Shine a Little Love” is one of them, and its chorus was influenced by the Beatles’ “I Am the Walrus.”

Happy Mondays is a band that helped lead the Madchester movement alongside The Stone Roses and New Order.

With a raspy vocal style, hefty grooves, and a somewhat carefree looseness, they’re a dance music band.

So many people associate disco with this song that “That’s the Way (I Like It)” became a massive hit.

The chorus, which repeats the title, has been used in various TV shows and movies, so many people still recognize it today.

Since the late 2000s, the term “nu-rave movement” began to emerge, and Klaxons were a band right at its core.

It’s an uptempo track with a slightly floating, uncanny sound—dance music at its heart.
