An Italian-American, he has created many theme songs and soundtrack pieces for films and TV dramas over his long career.
Among his works, one of the most widely known is Gonna Fly Now.
This song was composed as the theme for the popular boxing film Rocky.
I’m sure many of you are familiar with it.
When it comes to training, you can’t leave this song out, so I decided to feature it!
Party and BullshitThe Notorious B.I.G.

The rapper known affectionately as Biggie, The Notorious B.I.G., was a major figure in the 1990s hip-hop scene, but tragically died in 1997 in a mysterious shooting.
The perpetrator has still not been found, and it’s regarded as an assassination.
His track “Party and Bullshit” is known as one of his signature songs.
With its energetic, old-school vibe in both the beat and the rap, it’s great BGM for powering through hard work.
Rap GodEminem

Eminem, a rapper from the United States whose high-level skills are recognized worldwide.
His track “Rap God” is one of his songs where you can especially savor that skill.
As proof, the song holds a Guinness World Record as the “hit single with the most words.” The speed of his rapid-fire rap is astounding—starting at 4:28, he raps 97 words in roughly 15 seconds.
Because the tempo is extremely fast, it’s recommended for anaerobic running workouts!
MétèqueJoeyStarr

JoeyStarr is a rapper who’s respected as a legend by heads in the French hip-hop scene.
With a hardcore rap style, he’s highly regarded by both mainstream and underground heads.
His classic track “Métèque” is a great example of his signature style.
The sound is extremely hardcore, so it’s highly recommended for heavy weight training sessions.
Hold OnSkepta

Skepta is a rapper who’s popular in the UK hip-hop scene.
He might not be very familiar in Japan, but in the English-speaking world he’s one of the most famous rappers.
His track “Hold On” is widely regarded as a classic among his works.
As you can see from the music video, it’s crafted around a theme of athletes and sports.
The uplifting beat and flow that seem to push you forward are especially striking.
