It’s a song whose pleasant melody and bittersweet lyrics resonate deeply.
It weaves together love and conflict for one’s hometown, as well as the yearning for freedom felt by youth.
An ambitious work that reveals a new side of X Ambassadors, it was released in January 2024 as the lead single from the album “Townie.” The band previously found success with their platinum-certified album “VHS” and has been active across a wide range of projects, including contributing music to the film Aquaman.
It’s a track you might want to listen to alone on a quiet night, but it could also be nice to play while chatting with friends.
