A collection of Western songs with titles that start with “W”

When it comes to songs with titles that start with “W,” do any come to mind?

We don’t usually pay attention to the first letter of a song title, so it might be hard to think of examples right away.

That said, when it comes to English words starting with “W,” there are interrogatives like “What,” “Where,” and “Who,” and just from those alone, there must be plenty of songs!

There are also words like “Walk,” “Wonder,” and “Word,” which all sound like they could appear in song titles.

In this article, I’ll introduce lots of songs with titles that start with “W.”

By searching for music from a perspective you might not have considered before, you may discover new tracks.

Where To LookNilüfer Yanya

Nilüfer Yanya, hailing from Chelsea, London, deftly weaves together diverse genres.

Drawing attention with her expressive vocals and guitar, she has pre-released a track in June 2025 from her EP “Dancing Shoes,” slated for a July 2025 release.

The song was initially left off the album “My Method Actor,” but after the tour she revisited it and completed it—a track whose melody she personally cherishes.

It’s an indie rock piece where her signature guitar sound carries introspective lyrics, and the guitar reverb in the latter half stirs the emotions.

Contrary to the EP’s title, it feels like a song that keeps you company on a night of quiet contemplation.

This song, with the grand title “Walking on the Milky Way,” is a synth-pop masterpiece released in 1996 by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, a leading force in the UK electronic music scene.

As Andy McCluskey himself has called it one of his finest works, it brilliantly fuses an expansive, string-laden sound with elements of baroque pop.

Included on the album Universal, it reached No.

17 on the UK Singles Chart, yet at the time it suffered the misfortune of being rejected by BBC Radio 1 for being “not trendy.” Even so, the performance with a full orchestra on BBC’s Top of the Pops remains legendary.

Wrapped in a cosmic sense of scale and a beautiful melody, it’s the perfect track to listen to while gazing up at the Tanabata night sky.

Went Legit FreestyleYungeen Ace

Yungeen Ace, a U.S.-born rapper who transforms harrowing experiences into music, has a past that includes miraculously surviving eight gunshot wounds in a 2018 shooting.

In June 2025, he released a new freestyle.

Borrowing the beat from a G Herbo track, the piece lays bare his tumultuous life and raw street experiences.

He also touches on past rivalries and his own growth, resulting in a work that showcases his musical maturity.

Given his proven talent on tracks like Opps (certified Gold with JayDaYoungan) and the album Life of Betrayal 2x, this release is not to be missed.

It’s a must-listen for those who resonate with his soul-baring expression.

This is a collaborative track by Risa and Tyra that beautifully captures the moment your heart is swept away by a summer romance.

It portrays the feelings of a woman who wants to dive into a new love even if it means ignoring her friends’ warnings, expressed through a lo-fi R&B sound and minimal electric piano accompaniment.

The song was released in February 2025 as part of Risa’s solo debut album, “Alter Ego,” followed by a music video in May that lit up poolside and party scenes.

The lyrics convey the sense of becoming a better version of yourself through love, and the desire to stay together even at the cost of your pride, making it a perfect track for summer drives or trips with friends.
