The Invisible Wallthe GazettE

The GazettE – The Invisible Wall (sub español + Lyrics)
The Invisible Wallthe GazettE

Both the singing and the performance are solid, and the vocals are full of passion, yet I think this is a hidden gem.

The video is jam-packed with Japanese elements, which actually makes it exotic, but the song didn’t really catch on domestically.

If anything, it’s a V-kei staple that’s been wildly praised overseas, with the video repeatedly taken down and then reuploaded.

It’s a shame that things arranged in a distinctly Japanese style often aren’t appreciated for their merits within Japan.

The Ivythe HIATUS

the HIATUS – The Ivy(Music Video)
The Ivythe HIATUS

By weaving in piano, this excellent track manages to balance a heavy sound design and structure with accessibility.

The song’s content is exciting and, in a good way, far removed from typical J-Pop.

As an aside, the eyes light up in the latter half of the music video.

It’s kind of funny.

A song included on their 11th album, Blue Blood.

The sound arrangement is cool and stylish, reminiscent of Justin Timberlake.

Members Ryohei and Ryuichi were also involved in writing the lyrics.

I Tried Singing: Tawagoto Speaker (Rap Ver) [Boku no Lyric no Bouyomi] (Tawagoto Speaker (Rap Ver) – Sigaisen)
Gibberish Speaker Rap ver.boku no ririkku no bouyomi

This is a rap arrangement of a Vocaloid song by Nekobolo.

The content stays faithful to the original, which feels like a monologue confessing one’s own wounds.

While it expresses unstable emotions, if you read the lyrics closely you can also sense rap-like humor—such as an aggressive edge toward others.

THE LIGHTKurisutaru Kei

Galaxy S6 / S6 edge CM song – Crystal Kay “THE LIGHT”
THE LIGHTKurisutaru Kei

This song was included on the single “Kimi ga Ita Kara,” released in June 2015, and was featured in the commercial for Samsung’s Galaxy S6 / S6 edge.

It’s a powerful, Western-style hip-hop track with a strong, beautiful vocal that resonates.

†A V-kei-ish Song†Gōruden Bonbā

Golden Bomber “Golden Bomber” — ‘†The Visual Kei-Sounding Song†’ Live 2010.11.12
†A V-kei-ish Song†Gōruden Bonbā

It’s a popular song with lyrics and a melody typical of the visual kei style.

Since it sings about common experiences among visual kei band fans, there are probably many parts people can relate to—like the feeling of loneliness when a band makes its major-label debut.

The Path of RepentanceDauto

[Full] D=OUT “Zange no Hanamichi” Released on 2014.5.21
The Path of RepentanceDauto

When I first heard it, I thought it was a very easy-to-listen-to, wonderful song.

I really love the music video for this track, and since it was released in May, it feels like a song that blows away the May blues.

When I heard the news that the drummer at the time was leaving, I joined that year’s tour.

I’d never cried that much at a live show before, but I’m truly glad I was able to be there.

Now a new drummer has joined, but I still want to keep giving my full support to D=OUT as they continue to run forward.
