Disposable chopstick holder

Simple! A chopstick storage box: just keep stacking disposable chopsticks. Great for a summer vacation craft!

Here’s a chopstick accessory holder that’s perfect for a summer vacation craft.

Prepare 12 pairs of disposable chopsticks, glue, and colored construction paper.

Split the chopsticks in half, then use scissors to cut all the way around the midpoint to make them half-length pieces.

With 12 pairs, you’ll get 48 sticks.

Cut the colored paper into a square, apply glue to the left and right sides, and attach chopsticks; then flip it over, rotate it, and glue chopsticks onto the sides that don’t have them yet.

Apply glue where the chopsticks overlap and stack the sticks one by one.

Make sure they stack up straight.

Let it dry thoroughly, and it’s done!

The building process is straightforward: attach a handle to a bundle of chopsticks that serves as the base, then install a movable trigger so that it’s sandwiched in place.

What’s crucial here are the trigger shape and the positions where the rubber bands are hooked.

By attaching three rubber bands at different positions, they will fire in sequence.

The hooking method for each band is also intricate, so doing that accurately is a key point.

Making a scarf with paper cups and disposable chopsticks

[Ages 5 and up] Make a scarf with a paper cup and chopsticks

Easy even without knitting needles! Let’s knit a scarf using a paper cup and chopsticks.

First, cut the chopsticks to a suitable length, then cut out the bottom of the paper cup.

Attach five chopsticks evenly around the outside of the cup so that they stick out 2–3 cm above the rim.

Tape the end of the yarn to the inside of the cup, and loop the yarn around the chopsticks alternately front and back to form a star shape.

Once the star is formed, start knitting by passing the yarn that’s already on the chopsticks from bottom to top.

When you reach your desired length, cut the yarn, thread the end under the five loops on the chopsticks, and remove it from the chopsticks to finish!

Fun-to-shake shaker

Here’s a fun shaker made from a plastic wrap core.

Use origami made of film.

Wrap double-sided tape around the core and seal one end with the origami.

From the other side, add beads or similar fillings and seal it the same way with origami.

Wrap washi tape around it, then cut the origami into strips and wrap them on.

Add googly-eye stickers and a mouth to finish! It’s fun to dance with to music, too.

Little kids will enjoy it, so be sure to make it together and have a great time!

You can make a fun maze with a cardboard wrap core! Here’s a simple way to do it.

First, cut construction paper to the length of the wrap core, and draw a maze on it using any writing tools you like.

Attach double-sided tape to the paper with the maze and wrap it around the core.

Next, cut a piece of wrapping film to about 5 cm and stick your favorite stickers on it—that’s it! Thread it through the wrap core to play the maze game.

If you make the construction paper removable, you can enjoy original mazes over and over again.

It’s also recommended to use stickers of your favorite characters to enjoy a themed world.
