Here, we’ve gathered unique projects that use a variety of materials and ideas.
We hope they’ll enjoy both the fun of making things and the fun of playing with friends using what they’ve made.

Plastic Bottle Guitar

Let’s make an instrument! Here’s an idea for a plastic-bottle guitar.
Have you ever wanted your very own instrument? This time, let’s try making a guitar using a plastic bottle.
You’ll need a plastic bottle, pushpins, rubber bands, chopsticks, a tray, vinyl tape, a permanent marker, a utility knife, scissors, and a craft board.
In the video, they make designs like a frog and a paper umbrella ghost, but it could be fun to finish it with any motif you like.
Let’s do a craft project using electricity.

This is a perfect craft project for sixth graders who are becoming more interested in science and chemistry! Let’s make a remote-controlled car that moves with a remote.
Prepare a track & wheel set, a double gearbox, a universal plate, a 2-channel remote control box, batteries, nippers, needle-nose pliers, a screwdriver, and a ruler, and let’s get started.
As you assemble, be careful not to mix up the orientation or mounting positions of each part.
There are many small components, but using your hands will help you focus and improve your dexterity.
Give it a try!
Metalworking Crafts
https://www.tiktok.com/@utatan_simple_crafts/video/7401089963565174024Fun to make! Here are some metal craft ideas.
If you’re going to dive into a craft project, you probably want to work with materials that interest you, right? This time, let’s try crafting with metal—something that’s also used in everyday items.
You’ll need aluminum wire, pliers, glue, a hammer, scissors, and transparent origami paper, among other things.
After designing a one-line drawing motif on paper, bend and hammer the aluminum wire to shape it.
Finish it off with transparent origami paper to create a stained-glass look, and you’re done!

Playable maracas

Taught by a professional percussionist! Here are ideas for making maracas from scrap materials.
Do you know the term “scrap materials”? It refers to materials or items that would otherwise be thrown away.
Common household scraps include toilet paper rolls and plastic bottles.
This time, let’s make maracas using scrap materials! What you’ll need: empty capsule toy containers, toilet paper rolls, beads, stickers, washi tape, and regular tape.

carve a woodblock print

You’ve probably wanted to try printmaking at least once, right? But if you accidentally cut away the parts you need, the image won’t turn out the way you want when you transfer it! For elementary school students who aren’t used to printmaking, I recommend intaglio (incised carving).
With relief (yang carving), you leave the lines that form the picture and carve around them, while with intaglio (yin carving), you carve the parts you want to become the picture.
Since the carved areas are smaller, even first-timers can enjoy it.
Once you’ve finished carving, use printmaking ink and transfer the image onto paper.
Give fun printmaking a try and enjoy the excitement of seeing what kind of picture appears!
Book cover

Your very own item! Here are some ideas for book covers.
These ideas are perfect for anyone who loves reading or wants to make something related to books.
Choose fabric with patterns or colors you like and create a book cover that’s uniquely yours.
You’ll need outer fabric, lining fabric, elastic, and cord.
The video explains the steps and process carefully, so give it a try.
It would make a wonderful gift for family and friends, as well as for yourself.
yarn flowers

Soft and fluffy to the touch! Here are some ideas for making yarn flowers.
These are perfect for anyone who wants to craft using yarn.
What you’ll need: yarn in your favorite colors, two pencils, a yarn needle, and magnets, among other items.
Wrap the yarn around to create parts, then connect the parts to complete the flower.
You can display the finished flowers as interior decor, or use them as cute accents on keychains or hair ties.
Give it a try!
