ACIDMAN's famous and popular songs (1–10)
to liveACIDMAN

The single “to live,” released on February 8, 2012.
It’s one of the songs I could listen to straightforwardly and really enjoy.
From the intro, the guitar and bass play as if competing with each other, and I was captivated right from the start.
It’s comical in a way, yet has a punk-like intensity, and I hope it continues to draw people in.
Falling AutumnACIDMAN

A song by ACIDMAN that conjures a fantastical scene—like shimmering sand slowly drifting down from the autumn night sky.
What’s depicted here might be the protagonist’s sentimental state of mind as they quietly watch time pass by.
Though the lyrics are few, their poetic worldview sparks the listener’s imagination.
From a hushed beginning to an emotional swell, the sound beautifully captures that inescapable inner loneliness and aching sadness overflowing from within.
The album this track appears on, the classic “equal,” was released in September 2004.
Though just one song among many, it’s a hidden gem that has captured the hearts of countless fans.
It’s the perfect track for those moments when you want to sit alone, feel the night breeze, and sink into a slightly sentimental mood.
the year 2145ACIDMAN

It’s a single track set in an SF world where the protagonist is a robot that has acquired a heart.
It forges the flow from “The Year 2045,” which closes out the 8th album ALMA, into “Wonderland.” The beauty, complexity, warmth, and weight of the heart—so many elements are carried by the music and expressed in just under five minutes with a level of mastery that is nothing short of breathtaking.
The music video faithfully recreates the world depicted in the lyrics, becoming a moving work that goes far beyond a typical MV.
Be sure to watch the powerful performance by Nozomi the Robot, one of Japan’s leading performers.
ACIDMAN’s classic and popular songs (11–20)
Under the rainACIDMAN

This song is included on their 7th album, “A beautiful greed,” released in 2009.
It makes me want to listen to it on a night when the sweltering summer has just ended.
As it builds toward the chorus, the momentum grows, and when it finally explodes, it gives you goosebumps—don’t you think it’s a song with that kind of drive?
World SymphonyACIDMAN

This is a track included on the 4th album, “and world.” It’s characterized by the slightly dry-sounding guitar and vocalist/guitarist Ōki’s husky voice that cuts straight to the heart.
The song’s title, “World Symphony,” literally means “Symphony of the World,” and the lyrics depict the Earth’s cycles that unfold regardless of human existence.
It’s a song that evokes a sense of life’s impermanence.
FantasiaACIDMAN

This is a track included on the 7th album, “A beautiful greed.” From the intro I got a really refreshing impression, but within that I also sensed a certain “something” that connects to the title “Fantasia.” It’s by no means a fast-tempo song, but because the guitar is strumming in 16th-note rhythm, it creates an indescribable, mysterious vibe.
Prism NightACIDMAN

It’s one of the songs included on the 12th single, “Prism no Yoru.” It’s a ballad where gentle guitar tones and a tender vocal fit perfectly.
The wilderness shown in the video also deepens the song’s sense of poignancy.
In particular, the lyrics in the second verse—“Someone gathers dreams, someone breaks them, and even so, perhaps all flowers will bloom to color the world”—make this track especially heart-wrenching.
