magnet

I want to stick them on the fridge or a whiteboard! Here are some magnet ideas.
Some grandparents might use magnetic boards to post notices and papers.
In times like that, how about making and gifting some cute magnets they can use? All you need are magnets, fabric scraps, thread, and fabric glue.
Buying fabric with a lovely design is great, but if you upcycle clothing your child has outgrown, it will feel even more heartwarming.

Cute even as interior decor! Let me introduce mini baskets.
Having colorful, pop-style decor can brighten up your room.
It can also bring back memories of when you received it, warming your heart.
You’ll need paper cups, scissors, yarn, a glue gun, lace, artificial flowers, wire, and so on.
Another plus is that you can freely decide the size, colors, and design.
Try making one while imagining the faces of the grandparents you’d like to gift it to.
[Ages 1 and up] Original tea canister

Original tea canisters make the perfect gift for grandparents who love tea! They’re very easy to make: just decorate the side of a canister you can pick up at a 100-yen shop or similar store.
Draw a portrait, write a message, tear and paste origami paper, or create patterns with bleeding-watercolor art…
You can tailor the method to the children’s ages, which is another great thing about this idea.
A tea canister bursting with the kids’ individuality will become a one-of-a-kind, truly special present.
Original Mug

Try printing photos or illustrations of your grandchild onto a mug.
The key is that you can make it using only household items—no special machines or presses needed.
First, print the illustration or photo on inkjet paper.
Place the printed paper in the center of a plain mug and secure it with masking tape.
Since you’ll be applying high heat later, be sure to use heat-resistant tape.
Next, wrap a silicone mat around the mug to cover it.
Heat it in an oven at 200°C (about 392°F) for around 7 minutes, and the illustration will transfer—finished!
A message card with gentians that can also be used as a photo frame

Would you like to try making a message card featuring gentians, a flower known as a classic symbol of autumn? It can also serve as a photo frame, making it perfect for inserting a cherished photo and giving as a gift.
The method is simple: cut out the card section and the flower pieces from construction paper and glue them together.
Since you’ll need to cut out the frame section with a craft knife, an adult should assist if a child is making it.
Because it can be used even after it’s given, it would make a delightful gift for Respect for the Aged Day.
