LionMay’n
May’n is a singer from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, affiliated with Horipro International.
She provided the singing voice for a character in the 2008 TV anime Macross Frontier, and also performed the anime’s opening theme “Lion” and ending theme “Northern Cross.” When the single containing these two songs was released, it reached No.
3 on the Oricon Singles Chart.
As her recognition in the anisong scene steadily grew, she headlined a successful solo concert at Nippon Budokan in 2010.
Since 2018, she has also ventured into acting, including musicals, making her an artist to watch.

Split BoB is a girls’ band formed by high school classmates.
Centered around Koharu and Satomi, who attended Aichi Prefectural Okazaki Commercial High School, the band was formed during the summer vacation of 2011.
Their album “FORGET ME NOT,” released the following year, topped Tower Records’ indie chart and drew attention.
It’s a genuine graduation song set to simple guitar rock.
They continued their activities mainly in Nagoya, but sadly announced the end of the band in 2019.
CharacterNagayama Haruko, peppe (Ryokushokushakai)
Ryokuoushoku Shakai, whose dynamic pop sound has been winning fans, is a band from Aichi Prefecture formed by high school classmates and childhood friends.
They made their major-label debut in 2018 with the mini-album “Afureta Mizu no Yukue,” and many of their songs have been tied in with TV dramas and programs.
The charm lies in vocalist Haruko Nagaya’s expansive, powerful singing and the band’s steady, supportive ensemble.
In 2022, they released the album “Actor,” which reached No.
4 on the Oricon album chart.

Aya Morii, the vocalist of the three-piece band formed in 2012, is also from Nagoya.
Qaijff performs as a piano rock band, with Morii handling both vocals and keyboards.
Armed with her clear, soaring voice, she excels across a wide range of styles—from upbeat pop tunes to songs with a chic atmosphere.
Having studied classical piano since childhood, Morii has also performed with an orchestra as part of Qaijff.

Anne Sally, a native of Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, is an artist with two sides: an active internal medicine physician and a singer-songwriter.
Her voice, which spans a wide range of genres from jazz and bossa nova to folk songs and kayōkyoku, is gentle, warm, and deeply moving.
Her 2008 single “Jikan Ryokō” (Time Travel), used as the ending theme for the Nintendo DS game Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, is a hidden gem—highly regarded by music industry professionals and beloved by those in the know.

JUNNA made her debut in 2016 as the singing voice for the in-story music unit in the TV anime Macross Delta.
Hailing from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, she began attending a vocal school in fourth grade, and by sixth grade she had set her sights on becoming a singer.
Her powerful voice and vocal ability, which even overwhelmed the audition judges, are her biggest charms.
In 2017, she made her solo debut with the mini-album “Vai! Ya! Vai!”.
N.E.OMana, Kana, Yuna (CHAI)
CHAI, an individuality-packed girl band that champions the concept of “NEO Kawaii,” includes three members out of four who hail from Aichi Prefecture.
Drawing on roots in overseas punk, dance, and alternative, their sound is both wildly rocking and irresistibly groovy.
In 2016, they won the grand prize in a Sony Music–hosted contest and released the EP Hotarara Series.
The following year, after performing at a festival in the United States, they went on to successfully complete back-to-back tours across the U.S.
and the U.K., earning attention from around the world.
