Your Small Hands ~ Maximum the HormoneMakishimamu Za Horumon

Ryo-kun Maximum the Ryo and Nao-chan are from Kawasaki City.
Well, they’re siblings, so of course they’re from the same place (lol).
It’s not that their looks are cool (lol), it’s that their sound is insanely cool!! Their fans are called “Harapeko” (Hungry Ones), and even the Harapeko get surprised by the plans and tracks they drop, so it’s always fun.
This song, too, at first makes you go, “Huh?” but then it changes completely partway through.
Tell MeBOWWOW

Rei Atsumi, the keyboardist of VOW WOW, is from Kawasaki City.
Since VOW WOW mainly performed overseas, many people in Japan might not know them, but their vocals and musicianship are so powerful that you’d think they were a foreign hard rock band.
It really drove home for me that a band that can truly make it overseas means musicians like them.
I’ll buy you a juice.gurūpu damashii

Hiroki Miyake of Group Tamashii is from Yokosuka City.
Group Tamashii is made up of members of the theater company Otona Keikaku, and since they’re all actors you often see in dramas, it feels a bit surprising that they’re in a band.
They’re a popular band that has even performed on the Kōhaku Uta Gassen.
Graduationsaitou yuki

Yuki Saito is from Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and this was released in 1985 as her debut single.
It was used as the image song for Myojo Foods’ commercial “Ramen Called Youth,” and has become one of Yuki Saito’s signature songs.
It is still covered by many artists today as one of the classic graduation songs.

A duo consisting of MC Itsuka and DJ Gonchi, their sharp, captivating rap rides tracks that skillfully blend electronic and band sounds.
Both members once worked as office employees, and their biting, hard-hitting lyrics—often inspired by experiences and stories from that time—are a defining feature.
Along with relatable lyrics, their stylish, cool tracks are a big part of their appeal.
DJ Gonchi left the group in 2018, and it currently functions as MC Itsuka’s solo project.
Monkey MagicGodiego

Keyboardist Yoshino Mickey is from Yokohama.
Speaking of Godiego, their song “Monkey Magic” was the theme song and “Gandhara” was the ending theme for the 1978 TV drama Journey to the West, and both were huge hits.
EXILE’s version of “Galaxy Express 999” is also originally their song.
