Let me introduce songs by the male-female duo angela (Angela).
angela was formed in 1993 and made their major debut in 1999.
They returned to the indie scene in 2000, and then made another major debut in 2003.
They have performed many theme songs for anime and have appeared multiple times at Animelo Summer Live (Anisama), an event featuring artists who perform anime songs.
As they mainly work on anime songs, they also perform at overseas events alongside Japanese anime culture, and it seems you can buy their CDs abroad as well.

Angela's best and most popular songs (1–10)
Shangri-Laangela

The opening theme of the anime Fafner in the Azure.
In the final episode, it was also used as the ending theme.
The anime aired in July 2004 and depicts the daily lives on an island and the life-or-death battles of boys and girls fighting for humanity’s survival on an Earth threatened with extinction by an invasion of an unknown lifeform called the “Festum.” It also drew attention for featuring character designs by Hisashi Hirai, who served in the same role for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY, which aired in October 2004.
Starting with this song, angela went on to perform the theme songs for the entire series, and it became a signature work that greatly expanded angela’s recognition—so much so that “Fafner means angela,” as the saying goes.
The single Shangri-La was their sixth release, debuting at No.
12 on the Oricon chart, and the following album I/O debuted at No.
16, earning them King Records’ Best Hit Award that year.
KIZUNAangela
The ending theme of the final episode of the second season of the anime “K RETURN OF KINGS.” It’s a sequel to the movie, with the tagline “Kizuna Comes Full Circle.” The story depicts the battle over the Dresden Slate stolen by the Green King, pitting the Shiro, Red, and Blue “Chabudai Alliance” against the Green and Gray Jungle, up through their attempt to destroy the Slate.
Although it ends in a way that leaves various threads—such as the Silver King’s final decision, the original boy whose body had been borrowed and is now left as a mystery, and what happens to the Red, Blue, and Green clans afterward—the song befits a final episode and is wholly satisfying; angela truly delivers.
The full version hasn’t been released yet, so I’m looking forward to it.
The TV-size version is available as a limited release on platforms like iTunes.
Sidoniaangela

Opening theme of the anime Knights of Sidonia.
Set a thousand years in the future after the solar system is destroyed by lifeforms called Gauna, the series depicts the battles between humanity aboard the seed ship Sidonia, fighting for the survival of the species, and the Gauna.
This song sings about what it means to be a Knight of Sidonia and the chivalry of Sidonia.
It has a technopop feel, and the promo video features performances in a near-futuristic setting.
Beautiful fighterangela

The opening themes of the anime Shikabane Hime: Aka and Shikabane Hime: Kuro.
It’s a work that depicts the battle between shikabane, who kill humans, and Shikabane Hime, who were created to kill shikabane.
The song My story included on the release is also used as the ending theme.
I had associated the image of a sailor uniform with a Japanese sword, so the combination with guns was shocking.
alternativeangela

The opening theme of the anime Asura Cryin’ 2.
The lyrics felt like a continuation of the previous work.
At first, the slow tempo gradually changes, which struck me as very angela-like.
It shows a commitment to preserving the worldview.
Brilliant road to tomorrowangela

The theme song for the anime Stellvia of the Universe.
It is angela’s debut single.
More precisely, it is their work marking a second major-label debut.
The included track Kirei na Yozora is also used as the ending theme.
It is one of the indispensable songs at angela’s live shows.
Requiem of Redangela

This is a self-cover of the insert song sung by Anna Kushina & the Red Clansmen ver.
in the final episode of the anime “K.” Comparing the two versions—Anna Kushina (CV: Yui Horie) and angela—might be one of the fun ways to enjoy it.
